FC: Our Grand Canyon Trip May 28 - 31, 2011
1: Bob and Esther Flores joined us on this trip. It was Bob's first trip to the Grand Canyon.
3: We stopped in Seligman, Arizona on our way to Flagstaff. It was fun taking Route 66. Interesting antique stores here.
4: We stayed at the Wyndham Flagstaff Resort. | The Activity Center had a movie theatre, DVD rentals and snack bar.

6: The rooms at the resort were very nice. A big kitchen and living room with fireplace and nice bedrooms.
7: We had fun playing miniature golf at the resort.
8: The second day we visited the Riordan Mansion - a 13,000 sq.ft duplex home built in 1904. | The Riordan family was important in the lumber business of Arizona.
9: Walnut Canyon had dwellings sheltered by overhanging cliffs that were home to inhabitants more than 800 years ago.
10: We visited the Flagstaff Train Station first and then had breakfast at the La Bellavia Restaurant. Eating dinner at Granny's Closet was a unique experience.. The original lumberjack is at the U of NA..
12: We rode around on the shuttle, getting off at different points, enjoying the beauty of the canyon.
15: A group rode up the canyon on the Kaibab Trail after going down the canyon on the Bright Angel trail.
16: We had a great day at the Grand Canyon.
19: After our day at the Grand Canyon, we left for home early the next morning.
