28: GRAND PRISMATIC SPRING Yellowstone's largest hot spring, at 370 feet in diameter.The deep blue color and the rings of yellow and orange produces a beautiful prism effect.
30: LODGEPOLE PINE is a highly adaptable tree that can grow from all sorts of environment, from water-logged bogs to dry sandy soil. The cones are protected by a seal of pitch, which requires fire or heat to release the seeds.

40: Old Faithful Geyser is the biggest regular geyser at Yellowstone NP. It has been erupting on nearly the same fashion throughout the recorded history in the park. It erupts every 35 to 120 minutes for one half to five minutes. Its maximum height ranges from 90 to 184 feet.

60: Jenny Lake lies at the base of the main Teton peaks, known as the Cathedral group. This beautiful lake can be explored by hiking , climbing along the Cascade Canyons and by boating from mid May to late September. The long winter months freezes the lake and all roads become inaccessible.
