1: EMBARKING ON A SUMMER FAMILY

3: Zach and I started off the summer driving up to Maine. We stopped at Mammoth Cave and took the Historic Tour including Fat Man's Misery and Tall Man's Agony

4: We stopped by Abraham Lincoln's Birthplace and Childhood Home National Historical Parks in Kentucky quite by accident- we wanted out of a traffic jam!

7: I was amazed and very proud of how well Zachary took in the history of the site. | Atop the Pennsylvania Monument at Gettysburg | Gettysburg

9: 5 | 287 | Time to head for Mt. Rainier! Sites along the way including bridge over the Rio Grande where we picked up a few fossils!

10: First stop- Mesa Verde in southwest Colorado. | We took the Cliff Palace Tour in the early morning.
