FC: Heather & Aaron August 20, 2011 Sprague Lake, Estes Park, CO

Friday, August 19, 2011 The Journey to get our Marriage License in Denver, CO | On the shuttle to get our car. So hungry! | The County Clerk's Office at the Webb Municipal Building | Downtown Denver | Construction everywhere! | We got it! | It was not easy finding the Clerk's office. First we had to find our way out of the airport...then took 2 hours to get our Kia Sportage...then driving through downtown Denver in work day traffic...and finding parking! But, we got our license from a hilarious clerk who made our day...whew!

The Sheraton Downtown Denver | Probably the most confusing hotel we've ever been to. We parked in the plaza side, but stayed on the tower side.

Exploring Denver | Downtown Denver Square | We used the Magellan to try to find a restaurant but ended up back at the hotel at Kate Mulligan's. | Black & white Reuben; Corned beef cheesesteak; Bread pudding; Red wine | We ended up outside listening to the live band (a long-bearded hillbilly band that was really entertaining)

En route to Estes Park, we saw the Mile High Stadium and then through Boulder, a lot of pretty country. | We got breakfast at Peet's and were on the road by 9am! | To Estes Park in the Rocky Mountain National Park

"There is only one happiness in life, to love and to be loved."

 With this ring...

"This day I will marry my friend, the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, love."

 F O R E V E R

"Man & wife, being two, are one in love." -William Shakespeare

 Our journey begins...

Post-nuptials, we drove to Mary's Lake Lodge in Estes Park and had a nice, hearty lunch. Then, found a tattoo parlor using the Magellan where Aaron got a new tat. (Now, he better not forget our anniversary.)

Our last meal in Colorado was at the airport, a chicken sandwich and fries & a portobello sandwich and coleslaw. Plus, glass of red wine each helped to pass the time since our plane was delayed and we got to the airport early. | When we finally got home, we found a nice surprise in the fridge the next morning - a cake, card and bottle of sparkling cider from our favorite dog-sitter, Tiff. Cake for breakfast! | Good Bye Colorado!

Family Dinner at Red Hen Cantina in Napa
