1: We had planned to go to San Francisco to celebrate all the anniversaries, Birthdays and Valentines day's we missed from being apart while Behram was in Medical School in Grenada and Nikta was working in Northern California. We wanted to have a picnic at that vista point overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. We headed over to the city in the morning, decided to go to the Palace of Fine Arts to look around. After we looked at the beautiful architecture, we grabbed some sandwiches, drinks and snacks. We then drove to the Vista Point overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. We were lucky that the weather in the City was clear and sunny. However, once we got up to the vista point, it was completely foggy, windy and freezing. At this point, we were a little dissapointed with the weather. We ended up parking the car and took our picnic items (all while freezing ) and started walking to the perfect spot. We found a bench which is located right between the Golden Gate bridge and Marin County. We sat, all bundled up while our ears and noses were freezing. Nikta turns to Behram and tells him...."lets just sit for a few more minutes, enjoy the view and go back to the city. Sorry, but I am not going to eat anything. I can barely move. We can go back down to the city and eat there." Behram, of course, not wanting to do that, convinces Nikta to stay a little longer until the sun comes out. Several minutes | pass by and the weather stayed the same. At this point Behram tells Nikta that this isn't how it was supposed to be, and that he had been planning this (Nikta was thinking that he was referring to the picnic) for a very long time. Nikta of course thought it was no big deal, that it's just a picnic and we could eat when we leave. Finally Behram pulls out a card and tells Nikta that he wanted to send it to her for Valentines day but never had a chance to with his busy schedule. He then tells her that he will read what he wrote to her out loud. He starts reading the first two paragraphs, then tells Nikta to close her eyes. When she does and he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She then opened her eyes. He continued to read another paragraph or two and tells Nikta to close her eyes again. She does and he hands her a single rose. Then he reads another paragraph or two and tells Nikta to close her eyes once more (at this point, Nikta is thinking to herself that Behram needs to give her the second rose or kiss and get back down to the city only because she was freezing). While Nikta's eyes are closed Behram continues and finally tells Nikta to open her eyes. Nikta opens her eyes and see Behram on his knee with the ring in his hand asking her to marry him. Emotions all around, Nikta of course said YES! That 's how it all happened!
