FC: My Changes and Challenges
1: about me | My name is SELENE AZZI and I am 11 years old,my birthday is on the ninth of April, this year my birthday falls on Easter Monday. My family consists of six people and a dog, my dad Elias,my mum Nawal,my eldest sister Stephanie,my other sister Samantha,my brother Steven,my dog Dixie and me.I was born in Australia and have only been overseas once and that was when I was in kindergarten i went to Lebanon, also during the holidays I went to Melbourne and it was awesome!! The things that make me unique are that I enjoy cooking,hanging out with my friends,playing outdoors and creating new things, also I believe that anyone can do big thing. I am usually a happy person but I hate it when people tickle me or play practical jokes on me. My favorite sport is swimming because it cools me down and gives me a chance to be free. My favorite subject is PE because I get to have fun and be active. My closest friends are...well I have too many so I cant pick my closest.
2: The two challenges that I have faced in my life that are negative are the workload. It is definitely more than primary but I have dealt with it by staying organised and not leaving things to the last minute.Another negative challenge is the changing of the class rooms. Sometimes you can get lost and be late to class which leads to punishment. I have learned to deal with it by asking questions so I don';t get lost. A positive challenge is starting high school because you have more freedom. I can keep this a positive challenge by not taking advantage of that freedom.Another positive challenge is you are more independent and mature. I can keep this a positive challenge by not being silly and stupid.
3: five coping strategies that I would give to a year 6 student coming to high school are to get plenty of rest, talk to your family, manage your time and even exercise. I would recommend these things because they can help you relax and calm down . five support services would be talking to the school counsellor, talking to your family, talking to your friend,your teachers will also help as well as the kids help line. I would recommend these because they are some of the people you feel comfortable to talk to.
6: MY GOALS | MY GOALS | SHORT TERM GOALS NUMBER1 To be more organised. HOW? By hanging a time table on the back of my locker. NUMBER2 Not to get any bad notes in my diary. HOW? I will listen to the teacher. And participate.
7: LONG TERM GOALS NUMBER 1 I would like to be better at sport HOW? I will listen more and practice at home. NUMBER 2 I would like to have a great report HOW? I will study for all my tests and pay extra attention in class. | My goals
9: In the next five years I would like to have a good mark on my HSC. A good mark on the HSC could lead to a good university. If I get into a good university it could lead to a career. A good mark on the HSC also affects what I want to do when I grow up because if I get a low mark it is less likely for me to get into what I want to study. How ever if I get a high mark it is more likely for me to get into what I want to study, for example if I want to get into pharmacy i need to get at least 90 percent on the HSC.
