8: Ladies and gentlemen, according to the laws of this country we are gathered here to join the bonds of Matrimony between Robert Johnson & Kathleen Dux. Seeing it is a very important act, I would kindly ask everybody to remain in silence. As witnesses of this important act, there are present here: 1. Mary Lynne Martens 2. Hugh Greene 3. Darlene Short 4. James Short Who will sign the marriage documents after the ceremony. A great Mexican philosopher of the nineteenth century, Mr. Melchor Ocampo, wrote in his legendary letter, the following words that until today are alway read in our wedding ceremonies "Marriage", it says it is the only legal and moral way to found a family, to preserve mankind and avoid imperfections of the human being who are able to obtain the perfection of the human race, through matrimony in a conjugal duality.
9: Men and women have the same rights, but it is important to observe their respective obligations. Both of you should have respect, fidelity, trust and assistance to one another and also tenderness and love, much love. Do not fight with one another, use your heads and your hearts to correct something wrong. Both of you should be aware of the great responsibility of being parents, because you should provide your children with attention, good example to follow during the rest of your lives. I now ask tow questions to your witnesses. Are Robert and Kathleen persons you know well? And are there any objections for them to be joined in legal marriage?
12: Please turn and look at each other face to face. Robert repeat after me: Kathleen, I give you this ring, as a symbol of my love, and I promise you, to love you, to be faithful, and to respect you for the rest of our lives. Kathleen Repeat after me: Robert, I give you this ring, as a symbol of my love, and I promise you, to love you, to be faithful, and to respect you for the rest of our lives. Robert do you accept Kathleen as you beloved and wedded wife, to love and honor her, to stand by her side in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, for as long as you both shall live? I DO. Kathleen do you accept Robert as you beloved and wedded wife, to love and honor her, to stand by her side in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, for as long as you both shall live?
