BC: “"Imagination is more important than knowledge..."” Albert Einstein

FC: Eugene's Parent-Child Preschool 3's Class: 2009-2010

1: FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL | We've joined together as classmates to learn and play. Our friendships will grow with each passing day.

2: OUR CLASS OF CUTE KIDS | Faith | Ashley | Jack H. | Olivia | Emily | Charlotte | Zoey

3: Jack W. | Otto | Xavier | Sabine | Theo | Alijah | Katie

4: I don’t think I’ve ever met a little boy who was as excited to come to school each and everyday as much as Jack H. He always has such interesting facts to share and shows an amazing enthusiasm for learning! When I think of Jack I think of a smart, witty, young boy who loves nature, especially praying mantises! I’m very much looking forward to being his teacher again next year as he is such a delightful student. He makes me feel like I have the best job in the whole world. (And, I do!) Thank you, Jack! | Faith may be small, but she is mighty! I have enjoyed having her in class this year with all my heart. I will always remember her laughter with such delight. She is one of the most determined little girls I’ve ever had in my class and the other kids just adored her! (Me, too!) Actually, she rather reminds me of myself when I was little. Faith can do anything she sets her mind to and I’ve really appreciated her creativity and perseverance! | Charlotte was such a pleasure to have in class. I couldn’t believe how well she fit right in from the get-go. I enjoyed getting to know her better and really appreciated her sweet disposition. She is a smart little cookie and always very thoughtful when it comes to her friends, family, and nature. Her big brown eyes just sparkle with creativity and life! | Emily was just so dear to have in class this year! I appreciated her kindness and willingness to try new things! It took her a bit of time to warm up, but once she did she was unstoppable! She is always so sweet and thoughtful to everyone in class. I especially enjoyed listening to things she’d like to show me or tell me about each morning. And, she has a wonderful family, to boot! I’m looking forward to being her teacher again next year as I think we are a good team, Emily and I. | Ashley has been such a sweet little girl to have in class this year! She has a sensitive, caring disposition, but she can also hold her ground when she needs to! I’ve enjoyed watching her at play and I covet the moments when I can just sit and talk with Ashley. She has so much to offer our class and I’m very thankful to be her preschool teacher! | Teacher Shawna's 3's Class Memories

5: Xavier joined our class a little late this year, but boy did he fit right in! It felt like he had been there from day one. He is such a bright little boy with so much to offer the world. We all enjoyed listening to his very thoughtful comments. (And, he had lots!) I was always struck by what a kind friend he was, and so patient! He was definitely a popular friend to be had by many. I know he will do very well in kindergarten and beyond! | Sabine is so delightful to have in class. I appreciate her sweet disposition and her willingness to help others. Sabine has a wonderful imagination and it’s so much fun to observe her dramatic play! She is truly thoughtful, creative, and a little bit spunky! She always has such great things to share with us in class. I can’t wait to have her again next year and I’m looking forward to a year filled with learning, friendship, and fun! | Theo has been a lot of fun to have in class this year! I appreciate his playful spirit and his sensitive heart. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know him better this year and I’m looking forward to making many more happy preschool memories with Theo. | At times Jack W. seems to be on the quieter side, but the real Jack shines through with such sweetness! He always has thoughtful answers to questions and has lots of great ideas about whatever we’ve been learning/exploring in school. Jack handles situations at school with kindness and great problem solving ideas, yet can be quite assertive when necessary. Mostly, when I think of Jack his endearing smile comes to mind. | I considered Olivia one of my friends, really. She is an absolute doll! I enjoyed our conversations about all sorts of things: some imaginary and some real, however, all very real to her. I’m so thankful to have had the chance to be her teacher for the 3’s class. I’m just sure there are so many wonderful opportunities for her out in the world. Good luck Olivia, you’re one very special little girl! Oh, and I hope you do take up the viola someday as that would be very cool, indeed! | Otto loves school and school loves Otto! He has the funniest sense of humor and I always enjoyed his comments. (Filled with hand motions and all!) I know blocks are his favorite, but there is so much going on inside of his imagination! I feel privileged to have been a part of his world this past year. Thank you, Otto, for sharing your ideas, thoughts, creativity and craftsmanship with all your friends and me! | Katie has been an absolute pleasure to have in class this year! I’m very proud to be her preschool teacher. She is truly a bright little star and adds so much to our discussions about family, nature, the earth, friends, science, and different types of lifestyles. (i.e. being a vegetarian) In addition to her contributions on a cognitive level, she is also just a wonderful friend to her fellow classmates and she has an incredible imagination to boot! | Zoey started with us on Valentine’s Day this year and did she ever just fit right in! I truly could not have imagined this year without her. Occasionally things happen in ones life which are truly meant to be, and that’s how I feel about Zoey and her family joining our preschool. In addition, I absolutely adore her spunky spirit and her sweet disposition. It’s so much fun to watch her when she’s on one of her adventures! Dramatic play is incredibly important to a child’s healthy development and Zoey is the queen of our classroom theater department! Thank you Zoey, for sharing your talents with us this year and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to be your preschool teacher!
