1: Kore Academy 2010-2011 | Our busy 7th year included cooking, history fairs, field trips, a Thanksgiving play, two theatre workshops, skate nights, a Valentine's Day breakfast, Fitness February, Spirit Week, a Mother's Day Tea, Kore's band, Girls on the Run, poetry readings, and many, many lessons with our wonderful Kore students! 12: Cooking Time! Yummy Yummy! | Every year Julie Ribes, Max's mom, teaches the kids at Kore how to cook. Dr. Ribes does a wonderful job! And the best part is...we all get to eat it when we're done! 14: Celebrate Autumn | The scent of apple crisp fills the air! | Apple Crisp | Rebecca, Tahreem, Noah, Ivan, Evan, and Sarah made apple crisp to celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day at Kore. The finished product was delicious! Kore's 7th and 8th grade class loves to cook.

15: Coached by Mrs. Carol Douglas, GOTR met twice a week at Kore, culminating with a run at the end of the year. Great job, girls!! You are fearless! | Girls on the Run

18: Each year we make a thank you breakfast for the Porter Staff because they are so wonderful to let us use their church. This year we did a Valentine's Day brunch. | Valentine's Day

19: Fitness February Fitness February included special exercise breaks, healthy snacks, informational health lessons, and lots of fun!

20: Grades 7 through 12 presented The Princess Bride in March. Lexington Children's Theatre's teaching artists Amy, Jessica and Bradford lead the students during the two-week workshop. In addition to having fun, the students learned about teamwork, elements of drama, and improved reading fluency, Every student had a part in the show, and it was a great success! | The Princess Bride

22: The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales | March 2011 Lexington Children's Theatre Workshop and Performance

23: Grades 3 through 6 presented a delightfully humorous play about mixed-up fairly tales

24: Director-Mr. Jackson Clarinet-Smanatha Miller Trombone-Ivan Perez Percussion-Hunter Blair Trumpet-Max Murphy Percussion-Bobby Baker Trumpet-Tahreen Ali Flute-Alexa Hale Trombone-Julie Jackson Kore's band is directed by music teacher Mr. Greg Jackson and meets after school once a week. The students performed a concert in May, featuring a variety of pieces for the full band, in addition to a duet by Max Murphy and Samantha Miller.
