It wasn’t quite that easy for me. I had already pre-selected the photos I wanted to use for my vacation photobook and put them in a folder in the order I wanted them to upload. I had even numbered every one of the photos. So Day 1, Photo 1 was “1 1”, Day 1 Photo 2 was “1 2” and so on. Unfortunately, when I uploaded the photos into Mixbook, they were put in random order. As I had over 3o0 photos this was not acceptable. After some research, I found out that you could use the Filter tool in the Mixbook photos. So, I went back to my original upload folder and put an “A” in front of every photo. Then when I uploaded the photos, and filtered for “A” they were put in the order I wanted them. Hope this makes sense. Try it with a few and it will.

Hi. Thanks for the simple tutorial. I use Lightroom 3 and am curious about save settings I should use when exporting pictures for Mixbook.

    For example:
    1. Sharpening
    2. file size
    3. color space

  3. Mixbook Customer Care Team says

    Hi Craig.

Photos uploaded need to be in .JPG format. For best print quality, photos should be at least 4MB at 300 dpi. The maximum file size at this time is 15MB.
Files are recommended to be in sRGB profile, but CYMK files are accepted as well. We also recommend for you to make any edits or color corrections prior to uploading your photos.

We hope that this helps and please email us at support@mixbook.com if you have any other questions!

    Best,
    Maxine

Can it be true that not one picture on
My iPhone. 5 is good enough for mixbook? I sent them to
my email and downloaded them as JPEG

They are about 666.2 KB and yet none of them work. Any solutions ?

  5. Mixbook Customer Care Team says

    Hi Jan,

You can definitely upload photos from your Iphone device! However, please note that there may be some image compression when uploading photos from your phone. Photos need to be in .jpg format at this time. For best print quality, photos should be at least 2MB at 300 dpi. The maximum file size at this time is 15MB.

If you are receiving the yellow triangle warning sign on your uploaded image, this is because our site detects that the image is of lower resolution and does not meet the recommended photo size for best photo print quality.

The yellow triangle is a warning that notifies you that an image is of low resolution. If this warning is visible on any of your pictures, please note that these pictures may print blurry or pixelated. You may not be satisfied with the way your project prints if you leave the images this way. It may help if you try re-sizing the image to make it smaller until the yellow triangle disappears otherwise, we would suggest uploading images that are at least 2MB for best photo print quality.

We hope that this helps and if you have any other questions, please let us know at support@mixbook.com

    Regards,
    Maxine

I am having issues in that the uploader page shows “uploading,” but no photos are transferring. I have tried Chrome, Firefox, and IE under Windows 8.1. Is there a simple uploader I can use to transfer photos?

I managed to do this on a Vista/Windows 7 method. The central
processing unit or the CPU incorporates purified silicon within it.

I have a series of 200 or so photos of houses that I want to show in an A4 photo-book, using a range of photo sizes, but all in a 6×4 format. Some would be perhaps 10/12 on a page, some 8, 6, 4 or 3 and some single. I want all the photos to be 6×4 or 4×6 in format.
Can I do that with Mixbook?

  14. Mixbook Customer Care Team says

The size of the photos will always be relative to the book size you order. There’s no way to tell the size of your photo but you can determine about how large it will be by estimating within the editor. For example, if you’re ordering a 12×12 book and want 6×4 sized images, you can extend the photo till it’s halfway across the page (horizontally) and assume that is 6 inches. You can add as many photos as you’d like to each individual page as well.

  15. Peter says

When my photos are uploading to Mixbook the file size displayed for each photo in the upload window is more than twice the original file size. Is this normal? As you can imagine this increases the upload time dramatically.

  16. Mixbook Customer Care Team says

Hi Peter, the size of the file in the uploading window should match the actual size of the photo. Double check the size of the photo you’re uploading. You can always re-size the image as well to help decrease the upload time frame. We hope this helps and let us know if you have anymore questions. Just email us at Hello@mixbook.com.

Hi! So I’m a photographer and need to make a fast photo book. I uploaded all of my images to my mix book, all at 300 dpi and in jpg format (even though tif. is higher quality when printing) and for whatever reason my images are coming out pixelated when I drag them to the page in the mix book creator. I have no idea why it is doing this. I even went into photoshop and resized my photos to make sure that they were all the appropriate size. Is the pixelated image quality shown when previewing my mix book going to be what I get when I order my book? Or will my images be high quality like they appear on every other adobe software I use? Thanks!

I am uploading pictures and its says it will take 3 days to upload them. It IS a years worth of pictures, but that still seems excessive – is there another setting I should have chosen before beginning the upload?

    Hello,

I am trying to create a calendar on Mixbook and am using my MacBook Air. I sorted the photos I want to use into an Album. However when I try to upload the photos from my Mac to Mixbook, it groups all the photos together again. Even when I click on the Albums tab, the Album I created isn’t there (it only shows Moments, Places, Pano, etc). Any advice is greatly appreciated!

  20. Jimbo says

I’m glad to see you support PNGs now. Is there a limit to the file size? I have scrapbook pages that I’d like to upload, but each PNG is around 19 MB. Would I be able to upload files of that size?

  21. Raffi Apelian says

19mb will be just fine! We don’t have limits to file size. The higher the quality photo, the better the image.

  22. Daryl says

I have successfully been loading TIFF files to mixbook for my latest project, as there is more data in these files. Now I read that Mixbook can only accept JPG, PNG, and GIF files……can you explain how I have been able to download TIFF files?

  23. Vanessa Hubbard says

I’m trying to upload pictures from the Photos App on my MacBook. The pictures are clearly there when I’m in the App but when I access Photos through Mixbook only a fraction of them are there. How do I get access to all the pictures in Photos so they can be uploaded?

    Thank you

  24. Raffi Apelian says

Hi Vanessa, try creating a folder on your desktop with those photos. Upload from that folder instead. That should work.
