FC: My life | Lewis Carroll

Childhood | I was born on January 27, 1832 under the name as Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. | I was very young when I began to read, and I became very articulate for my age. | That's me! | I was home schooled until twelve, when I was sent off to a private school.

Schoo | In 1844, I went to a private school instead of being homeschooled. In 1846, I moved to Rugby school, where I was much less happy. | "I cannot say ... that any earthly considerations would induce me to go through my three years again ... I can honestly say that if I could have been ... secure from annoyance at night, the hardships of the daily life would have been comparative trifles to bear." | - I wrote that while attending Rugby School... You can tell I didn't enjoy it. | << Rugby school

ling | In 1850, I attended Christ Church, Ocford, and stayed there for many years. After completing my schooling, I stayed at oxford to lecture about mathematics and logic. Also | while attending Oxford, I learned how to become | a phtographer. One of the best things about attending Oxford, was that I met Alice Lidell, the Dean's daughter, who inspired me for characters in some of my works. | Alice Lidell

My best selling story was Alice in Wonderland, which I published in 1865. I got the idea from this boo kafter taking a boat trip with many friends and their children. I told the children a silly nonsense story, which my friends urged me to write down and try to get published. | My W | The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland's original cover art | Not only did I write poems, short stries, and nonsense stories, I also wrote many pamphlets for math and science courses for college classes.

orks | Other Works I have done: | - 1858, The Fifth Book of Euclid Treated Algebraically - 1867, Bruno's Revenge - 1872, Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There - 1876, The Hunting of the Snark - 1885, A Tangled Tale - 1889, The Nursery Alice

The End is Near | After many years of writing stories, educational brochures, and poetry, I made much money and became very known in the literature world. | The last book that I published was in 1889, and it was called Sylvie and Bruno. | I taught at Christ Church from 1851 to 1881, and then I lived there until my death. in 1898.

Janurary 14, 1898 | Lewis Carroll's actual grave | On Janurary 14 1898, two weeks away from my 66th birthday, I was visiting my sister. I passed away in her home from pneumonia following influenza. | I was buried at the Guildford Cemetery in Guildford, Surrey, England.
