BC: The End

Here are some myths written by the students in the 3/4 zone.

Why There is No Such Thing as Dragons Anymore By Ella and Izzy | Once there was a scary monster named Hydra. Hydra was a three-headed dragon. Hydra ate all the peoples’ babies and cattle. One day a goddess named Izanami came along riding her unicorn. Then Izanami went walking on the beach. Izanami saw Hydra swimming in the water looking for someone to eat. Then Hydra saw Izanami and said I am going to eat you. Izanami said, “You can never kill me.” Then Izanami drew her spear and killed hydra. Now everyone is happy. That is why there is no such thing as dragons anymore.

Why the Stars Come Out at Night by Akmal and Paige

How Shooting Stars Were Made By Logan and Andy | One night by a volcano, Gilgamesh stabbed all Hydra’s eyes out and blood spewed out everywhere. Hydra was furious. He is to this day spitting out fire that is how shooting stars became real.

How Volcanoes Were Made By: Miranda and Sami | One night Durga was sleeping when she heard the terrible Chi You singing. It was so horrible that she couldn’t go back to sleep. Durga was so brave that she went to ask Chi You if he would stop singing. Sadly Chi You said no because he liked singing at night. Chi You and Durga had a huge fight until dawn. Chi You made it rain and threw lighting. He was aiming at Durga but missed and accidently hit a mountain. Lava was pouring down the mountain. It burned Chi You and Durga flew to Europe because she was a goddess and she could fly. She flew to Europe before the lava burned her. That is how volcanoes and lava was made.

A family is pieced together with hope and faith. A family is quilted and bound with love and grace.
