Caribean Cruise 2000 - Page Text Content

FC: CARIBBEAN CRUISE 2000

Once upon a time, there were 3 beautiful Princess's who decided to go on a journey.....

First stop, Miami! There wasn't enough room in the van, so the airport set us up with a limo. Only a few of us were able to go in style! (Chilee, Keyo, Liz & Me)

Florida Everglades I was a little nervous about the Aligators, but turns out we didn't see a one. Chilee was brave and held one at the shop, but it was a BABY one. The little blackbird decided to hitch a ride right in front of us!

Our original ship was retired and replaced with the Paradise. Which, happens to be a non smoking ship. Just one more please!

We had to sit for over an hour in the life jackets, listening to the safety spiel. We wanted to go play! I did find out that there were enough life boats for everyone on board so that made me happy.

Finally on the ship and heading out to sea. Bon Voyage Miami!

Room was small, but we always had fun towel animals waiting on our beds! See all the stuff on the vanity table? None of it is mine!

Dressing up was a lot of fun and being part of the group was great. But the food was the best part. Everything was soooo good!

First port of call, Cozumel Mexico. For some reason we thought it was cool to get a picture at the Hard Rock Cafe.. So did the strange girl!

The boat ride tto Tulum. I should have taken my Dramamine!

The ancient Mayan ruins of Tulum date back to 1200 AD.

The blue man, yes, the blue man. He wouldn't let us take his picture without paying him. Scary blue guy.

For some reason we thought it would also be cool to stand in front of rugs.

"The blue man, yes the blue man" He wouldn't let us take his picture unless we paid him. Scary blue man. | Back on the ship, heading for the Cayman Islands

Each table had a Matre D and a waiter. Ours were Jon and Starpin. There were 2 formal nights that were so much fun. Other activities on the ship were Bingo, Price is Right, gift shop, Art auction, 24 hour ice cream and pizza and many, many bars!

The fun bus on the way to

Were on the highway to hell! (Literally!)

Been to Hell & back, Go to Hell, What the Hell? Really stupid things we said while in Hell!

Good times at the Turtle farm

 Imagine that. Hard Rock Cafe.

Next stop, stingray alley. I didn't want to go out with the rest of the group, so I hung back by the boat. I had my underwater camera and was taking pictures when all of a sudden a huge stingray came swimming directly at me! I frrrreaked out. I shuffled as fast as I could back to the boat. Then I heard someone screaming, It was Chilee freaking out too!!

Back on the ship! This guy came up behind Kathy and just joined into our conversation! Kathy was cracking me up! Another funny story was when Kathy told the waiter it was Keyo's Bday. He came up and told her the captain wanted to speak with her about smoking in her room. The whole table gasped and thought for sure we were going to get kicked off! When Keyo got defensive, the waiter said it was just a joke.!

 Last stop, Jamaica Mon!

First funfilled event, climbing Dunn's River Falls! I personally can't figure out why this is so popular. Thousands of people wait in line, get all wet, drop their cameras, slip and fall, and call it fun!

Next stop, swimming with the dolphins! I was really looking forward to this! I always did like Flipper.. Before we could actually swim with the dolphins, we had to take a class. After sitting for over 30 minutes, we opted out. Sometimes I just pretend that I did it .

Stopped at the duty free shop and saw a lady pouring vodka into her water bottle. Wish I would have thought of that! Not sure why I thought it was ok to wear only my swim suit with a shirt over it.

My favorite part of the trip. Bartering with the locals! I am one pretty lady I found out from all of them. "Hey Pretty lady, pretty lady, I have something here for you!"

We've had so much fun, but all good things must come to an end. I miss my family and will be glad to be back home.

 The End
