1: Monarch Butterfly's | Monarch Butterflies are small but are one of the most extreme travelers. Around autumn they set off from southeastern Canada all the way to central Mexico. Monarch butterflies have not been to these mountains they some how make their way, Then their children and grand children make this journey.
2: The three major parts of an insect are the head, thorax and the abdomen. The head has the sensory organs on it like the eyes and the antennae. The thorax has the wings and legs attached . The Abdomen has many of the insects vital organs inside.

4: The caterpillar is the second stage in an insects life cycle or metamorphosis. The caterpillar is made for eating. Like shown here this caterpillar will eat itself into oblivion and then it will move into the pupa stage where it then forms a cocoon and will emerge as a full grown adult butterfly with a life span of two weeks.
5: Shown here is the final stage of the caterpillar's metamorphosis. It is now a full grown adult with a lifespan of two weeks.
6: Most insects can defend themselves and one way is by using camouflage. Camouflage is when an animal blends in with their surroundings. Walking sticks,thorn insects, leaf insects, grass hoppers, and some caterpillars. Another way of is by running or flying away. And some insects like bees and wasp can hurt their predators. Some also taste bad.
7: Some insects can be a real pest to crops and plants. One way to prevent this by putting ladybugs on on the field where the crops are grown because lady bugs eat aphids which are the insects that eat the peaches, potatoes an other insects.
