BC: So did you guys learn anything? | Does anybody have any questions? | The end!
FC: iPad Presentation By: Tiffany, Richard and Avery | Division. 2
1: We are going to learn how to use the iPads, take care of iPads, learn from the iPads, and find out where the iPads are kept! | What are we going to learn about iPads today?
2: What is an iPad? | An iPad is a tool that can make learning fun! iPads have LOTS of apps that you can learn from. You can learn how to read, write, type and LOTS more! | How can I take care of the iPad? | We can take care of the iPads by holding them with 2 hands, not tapping the screen with your nails and just by doing your best to keep them the way you got them. Treat them as if they were our own.
3: What are apps? | App is short for application. An application is a game, program, or learning tool, we download on the iPad so we can learn all sorts of things!
4: How do iPads work? | How do I turn my iPad on/off? First you look right at the top of the iPad and you see a little button. Pressing that button will be able to turn on/off your iPad. | How do I adjust the volume on my iPad? On the right side of the iPad you will see a long button. That button is actually 2 buttons! When you press the TOP half on the button the volume will go UP, and when you press the BOTTOM half of the button the volume will go DOWN | How do I connect to wi-fi? Your iPad should already be connected to wi-fi, but if it isn't... go to setting on your iPad and tap on Wi-Fi. Now you have to choose a network. Choose the network "VSB-Secured" and it will ask u for a user name (this is your student number and your password).
5: Is it a tool or a toy? | It can be both! But here at school we're going to be using them as a tool. If you have one at home thats when you can use them as toys.
6: How many do we have? At Nightingale we have 15 iPad 1's 15 iPad 2's and 5 iPod touches. | Where are they kept? The iPads and iPods are kept in the library. | How can we sign them out? Only teacher can sign iPads out and if they sign them out they have to be back in library by 3:15
7: I PROMISE! | iPad Promise | We are not allowed to put a password on the iPads, or use our nail on the screen, and we have to do our best to keep them the way we got them because they are VERY expensive!
