Add onion, carrots, potatoes, and flour. Cover with 1 to 1 1/2 c water (desired gravy amount) Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours | Put pot roast in crock pot. FC: Gooey Cake | Cake: 1 package yellow cake mix 1 egg 8 TBSP. butter, melted | Filling: 8 oz. cream cheese 15 oz. can of pumpkin 3 eggs: 1 tsp. vanilla 8 TBSP. butter, melted 16 oz. powder sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. nutmeg | Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. | Combine cake mix, egg, and butter. Mix well with an electric mixer. Pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13x9 baking pan. | Filling: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth. Add the eggs, vanilla, butter and beat together. Add the powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and mix well. Spread pumpkin mixture over cake mixture and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Make sure not to overbake as the center should be a little gooey! | Serve with whipped cream. | Variations: Pineapple - instead of pumpkin, add a drained 20 oz. can crushed pineapple to the cream cheese filling. Banana - 2 bananas instead of the pumpkin Peanut butter - Use choc. cake mix. Add 1 c. creamy peanut butter instead of pumpkin.
1: Banana Bread | 1 c. sugar 1 stick butter (room temperature) 2 eggs 3 1/2 - 4 bananas 1 TBSP. milk 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt | 325 degrees. Grease a loaf pan. | cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. | In a small bowl, mash bananas with fork. mix in milk and cinnamon. | In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. | Add the banana mixture to the sugar and butter mixture. Stir until combined. Add dry ingredients. Mix until flour JUST disappears. Pour in pan. Bake about 50 minutes. (longer if needed) Cool 15 minutes in pan and remove. Finish cooling on rack.
2: Carrot cake | 4 eggs 2 c. sugar 2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. ground cinnamon 3 c. grated carrots 1 1/4 c. vegetable oil | Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 9x13 pan. | Beat eggs, oil, sugar, vanilla. Mix in flour, baking soda, powder, salt and cinnamon. Stir in carrots. Bake 40 to 50 minutes. Cool | Frosting: | 1/2 c. butter 8 ounces cream cheesse 4 c. powder sugar 1 tsp. vanilla | Combine butter, cream cheese, powder sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth
3: jalapeo marinade (for steak) | 2 pounds meat 4 garlic cloves, minced 1 jalapeo, seeded and minced 1 tsp. ground cumin 1 large handful cilantro salt and pepper to taste 2 limes, juiced 2 TBSP. white vinegar 1/4 tsp. sugar 1/2 c. olive oil | Combine all ingredients and cover meat. Let sit in fridge at least 8 hours for best taste
4: Crepes | 2 c. milk 1 1/2 c. flour 6 eggs 3 TBSP vegetable oil 3 TBSP sugar 3/4 tsp. salt vanilla or almond extract (optional) | add flour to a bowl, mix in all other ingredients. Pour amount desired on greased skillet. Cook until bubbles and flip. When done, fill with desired toppings and roll.
5: Monster Cookies | 12 eggs 4 cups sugar 2 pounds brown sugar 1 TBSP. vanilla 1 TBSP. corn syrup 2 TBSP. baking soda 1 pound butter 3 pounds peanut butter 18 cups oatmeal 1 pound chocolate chips Bag of plain m&ms. | Drop by ice cream scoop, flatten. 6 on a cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes at 350 degrees
