Angle's | Angle - the space between two intersecting lines Right angle-an angle measure with 90 degrees Straight angle - an angle measure with 180 degrees Acute angle - an angle with measure between 0 degrees and 90 degrees Obtuse angle - an angle with measure between 90 degrees and 180 degrees
our favorite memories | Reflex angle - an angle measures more than 180 degrees and less than 360 degrees Full rotation - a full rotation is 360 degrees
Lets learn about angles | Corresponding angles - two angles that occupy corresponding position Alternate interior angles - two angles that lie between the two lines opposite sides of the transversal Alternate exterior angles- two angles that lie outside the two lines on the opposite side of the transversal
Don't ever ask if i finished because i am not :P | Parallel lines- two lines that lie on the same plane and do not intersect Same side interior angles-two angles that lie between the lines on the same side of the transversal
WINTER | Congruent Triangles | Side angle side - Two sides are congruent to two sides of the other triangle .(SAS) Side side side- All sides of the one triangle equal all the sides of another.(SSS) Angle angle side - Two angles are congruent to two angles in another angles. A side is congruent to a side in the other triangle but it is not located in between the two angles.(AAS) Angle side angle - Two angles are congruent to two in another triangle and the congruent sides are located between the angles.(ASA) Hl- If the hypothenuse and leg of a right triangle are congruent to the hypothenuse and leg of second right triangle , then the two triangles are congruent.
Slope and y intercept | Slope- slope is a steepness of the line ( Rise over run ) Rise is up and down Run is right and left m = change in y-value change in x-value Y intercept - The Y intercept of a straight line is simply where the line crosses the Y axis.
Equation of slope and y intercept | Every straight line can be represented by an equation: y = mx + b. The coordinates of every point on the line will solve the equation if you substitute them in the equation for x and y. | The equation of any straight line, called a linear equation, can be written as: y = mx + b, where m is the slope of the line and b is the y-intercept.
Kite | Properties of kite The -A kite is a quadrilateral in which two disjoint pairs of consecutive sides are congruent The diagonals are perpendicular. Two disjoint pairs of consecutive sides are congruent by definition The main diagonal bisects a pair of opposite angles (angle K and angle M). The opposite angles at the endpoints of the cross diagonal are congruent (angle J and angle L).
Trapezoid | Properties of trapezoid- The base angles of an isosceles trapezoid are congruent. The bases are parallel by definition. Each lower base angle is supplementary to the upper base angle on the same side. The properties of trapezoid apply by definition (parallel bases). The legs are congruent by definition. The lower base angles are congruent. The upper base angles are congruent. The diagonals are congruent.
Properties of Midsegments | The midsegment is always parallel to the third side of the triangle. In the figure above, drag any point around and convince yourself that this is always true. The midsegment is always half the length of the third side. A triangle has three possible midsegments, depending on which pair of sides is initially joined. Rule Midsegment of a triangle = 1/2 of base | 46 | x | M=1/2b M=1/2(46) M=23 X=23
Part 2 ( Properties of midsegments | The midsegment of a trapezoid is the line that connects the midpoints of the two nonparallel sides of the trapezoid. The midsegment of a trapezoid has two special properties: The midsegment of a trapezoid is parallel to each base. The length of the midsegment of a trapezoid is equal to half the sum of the lengths of its bases. Rule Midsegment of a trapezoid =M=1/2(b1+b2) | 42 x 78 | M= 1/2(b1+b2) M=1/2(42+78) M=1/2(b120) M=60 x=60
Perpendicular | Perpendicular lines are two or more lines that intersect at a 90-degree angle, like the two lines drawn on this graph, and the x and y axes that orient them
If the lines were not perpendicular then the fence would not be straight . | Related to life
Pythagorean Theorem | The pythagorean theorem is the theorem attributed to pythagoras that the square of the hypothenuse of right triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides a2 + b2 = c2
 Related to the world
Polygons | Polygon is a plane figure with at least three straight angles and sides and typically five or more
Concave or Convex | A convex polygon has no angles pointing inwards. More precisely, no internal angle can be more than 180. If any internal angle is greater than 180 then the polygon is concave
