FC: The Railroad
1: Lincoln used the railroad to transport solders, and supplies in a week but would usually take 2 months to do on horse.
2: In the cars of the trains the solders would ether play cards or work on there guns
3: The rail road was used for mostly strategic resources | But it was also military targets.But they would have to bought from the owners of the railroad
4: The railroad was the unions primary transportation
5: Now the questions I had to answer
6: The rail road was used for transporting troops and supplies to the fronts
7: This was probably the top resource we had during the war.
8: The union had the benefit because we got control of the railroad, but the south didn't get control of the railroads, they couldn't transport supplies.
9: Then the union would have allot more trouble winning the war, They couldn't transport supplies or troops, and might have not even won the war
10: The union without the rail road couldn't deliver supplies or troops to the front lines and they could have had a better chance to die.Also couldn't have sent letters to families
11: They only thing was really important for the railroads was to transport cotton.
12: But it is still used for trips and for tours around the country. | Yes it is still around today but in a more high tech. But it not used as much as it was back then because now we have airplanes.
