8: The Life Cycles of a Plant Plants must go through a cycle to grow. The cycle begins from a tiny to seed and ends with a plant. Some plants such as trees do not produce flowers while other plants do produce flowers. A plant must have sunlight, soil, air, and water to help it to go through its life cycle. Once this is complete, insects and animals carry seeds (pollen) from one flower to another or into the soil. This is called the reproduction process. The reproduction process allows for more plants or flowers to grow. After this process, the life cycle of a plant begins again.
