1: This Cookbook is inspired by all of the talented cooks in the family.
3: Tortellini Sausage Soup 1 lb. Italian sausage 8 oz. can tomato sauce 4 cloves pressed garlic 1 c. sliced carrots 1 onion, diced 1 tsp. dried basil 1/2 cup water 1 tsp. dried oregano 2 cans chicken broth medium zucchini, grated 1/2 cup apple cider 8-10 oz. package cheese tortellini 16 oz. can diced tomatoes 2 Tbsp. dried parsley Cook sausage over medium heat. (I use the ground kind. If all you can find is links, then slice them open and crumble up the meat then cook it.) If it is very fatty, drain it half way through cooking. Meanwhile, chop onions and garlic and add to the sausage. Continue cooking until onions are translucent and sausage is done. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, cider, water, chicken broth, carrots, oregano and basil. Cover and simmer for one half hour. Add | parsley and zucchini and simmer for another 15 minutes or so. Add the tortellini and cook until tender. Serve with bread and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
4: Prism Salad | Reva Wagstaff Moyle | 1 three-ounce lime Jello 2 cups boiling water 1 cup cold water 1 three-ounce cherry Jello 1 three-ounce Lemon Jello 1 cup cream, whipped | 1 8-oz pkg cream cheese, softened 1 16-oz can crushed, drained pineapple 1 1/2 cup syrup from pineapple plus water | Add lime Jello to 1 cup boiling water. Stir to dissolve and add 1/2 cup cold water. Pour into an 8x8 pan. Chill to set. Prepare cherry Jello the same way. Dissolve lemon Jello in 1 cup hot syrup. Add remaining 1/2 cup syrup, softened cream cheese and drained pineapple. Chill till syruppy. Cut the firm lime and cherry Jello molds into half-inch cubes. If necessary, use rubber scraper to remove from pan. Fold whipped ream into lemon-pineapple mixture. Carefully add cubed Jello and fold in gently. Pour into a 2-quart salad mold. Chill till set. Makes 10 to 12 servings.

Serve with nacho chips
10: Banana Nut Bread | 1/2 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 2 cups flour | Myrna Murdock Moyle Arbon | 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 3 large ripe bananas 1/2 cup walnuts 1 tsp vanilla | Cream shortening and sugar. Add all ingredients. Pour into greased bread pan and bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Makes one loaf.
12: Cinnamon Rolls Grandma Gladys Hunsaker Murdock | 1 yeast cake 1 cup lukewarm water 1 cup milk, scalded and cooled 1 Tablespoon sugar 6 Tablespoons butter 3 eggs 1/2 teaspoon salt 7 cups sifted flour 1/2 cup sugar Dissolve yeast and one Tbsp. sugar in liquid. Add 3 cups flour and beat well till smooth. Add butter and sugar thoroughly mixed. Add eggs beaten until light. Add remaining flour gradually to make soft dough. Add salt. Place in greased bowl. Cover and set aside in warm place to rise. (2 hours) Roll out to oblong piece 1/2 inch thick. Let rise
14: Monkey Bread | 1 cup milk 1 pkg dry yeast (1 Tbsp) 1/3 cup sugar 3 eggs beaten 1 tsp salt 4 1/2 to 5 cups flour 1/3 cup butter 1/2 cup melted butter Heat milk, sugar, salt and 1/3 cup butter until butter is melted. Cool until lukewarm and add yeast and eggs. Add flour until a soft dough is formed. Set aside and let rise 1/2 to 1 hour. Melt 1/2 cup butter. roll dough out to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 2" squares or diamonds and dip in melted butter. Place in bundt or angel food cake pan. Layer pieces on top of one another until all pieces are used. Pour extra butter over the top and let rise for 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until lightly | browned. 15: Monkey Bread was one of the first "Moyle" foods that I was introduced to! Sunday dinner with Doc and his family often included this delicious recipe! Buttery pieces of deliciousness. That''s what I called it in my mind! I remember the first day I met Doc's parents was a Sunday. He brought me home for church and dinner.. I noticed how nice the table looked (with a table cloth) and we just had a lovely meal. Papa J and Myrna were so welcoming. We had a really good time!
17: RACAMONI Grandma Gladys Hunsaker Murdock | 8 ounces uncooked macaroni 1 can tomatoes 1 lb ground beef (if available) 1 chopped onion salt and pepper Boil macaroni. Brown ground beef with onions. Add to macaroni with tomatoes. Serve.
20: Score Bar Cake Grandma Myrna Murdock Moyle Arbon 1 Yellow Cake Mix 2 eggs 1 small instant choc pudding 2 cups water 1 8-ounce cool whip 1 cube butter (1/2 cup) 1 cup powdered sugar
21: Chocolate Chip Cookies Grandma Myrna Murdock Moyle Arbon | 2 1/4 cups flour 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 tsp baking soda 2 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp salt 1 egg 1 cup butter 1 pkg choc chips 1/2 cup sugar Heat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and sugars. Add vanilla, egg and baking soda. | Add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes.
22: Myrna Murdock Moyle Arbon | Rice Pudding | 1 quart warm milk 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 cup uncooked rice 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla | 350 | 1.5 hrs | Cook at 350 degrees for one and one half hours (or longer) stirring once or twice. Add 1/2 cup raisins if desired.

24: Chocolate Topping 1 cube butter 1 cup milk chocolate chips 1 can evaporated milk (1 1/2 cups) 2 cups powdered sugar Melt chocolate and butter. Add the rest and boil until thick-about 9 to 10 minutes. (Will thicken when it cools.) | Caramel Sauce 1 cube butter 1 cup sugar 1 can evaporated milk Melt butter. Add all ingredients. Stir till sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil. Stir occasionally. Boil for 9-10 minutes.
25: Caramels | 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 cup white sugar 1 cup brown sugar 3 squares butter (1 1/2 cups) 1 cup white corn syrup Mix in heavy pan. Stir until sugar dissolves. Cook to soft ball stage. Pour into buttered 9x13 pan.
