2: New Staff Procedures | New Teachers - August 13 laptops & badges Other employees - week ofAugust 20-24 9-11am; 2-4pm

4: Voice Mail! | Getting School Started! | Your campus secretary will receive a spreadsheet from the Help Desk to fill in staff room numbers and phones. This must be fully completed and returned to the Help Desk. Once this is received, the mailboxes for your campus will be created....first in, first out. Please ask your staff NOT to call the Help Desk and ask when their voicemail box will be ready. When they are ready, the Help Desk will notify the campus secretary.
5: Door Schedules | Please use this link: to refer to what time(s) your campus doors unlocked & locked last year. Links to the maps for your building are found there as well. If you need to make any changes, please email Vicki Smith no later than close of business on Friday, August 24th. Please include the card reader number and the unlock and lock times you want to change to. | Locking & Unlocking
6: Please use this link to check the email distribution list for your campus. Print your campus page and make any additions or deletions by hand on the paper copy. Then fax to 2323 or scan to email to so the changes can be made. | Email Lists
7: HAC Office Machines | Each campus office will receive 2 laptops to be dedicated for HAC access. These laptops will auto-login when they are booted up. They will be delivered by the end of this week. Please secure this equipment each night.
8: K-8 | computer labs | All campus computer labs as well as mobile labs are now Windows 7 machines. Exception: Dell 2100 netbooks cannot be upgraded.
9: K-8 Library machines | As we get machines back and after the start of school slows down, library machines will also be upgraded to Windows 7.
10: New OS! | Staff Win7 | Office staff with dedicated computers will be upgraded to Windows 7 very soon.
11: Student Laptop Vandalism | Teachers must hold students accountable for the condition of the laptops. Please urge your teachers to follow the iSpecialist's recommendations for monitoring computer use.
12: Back to School! | Staff Returning Old Laptops | Whenever you see a staff member using an old laptop, please ask them why they aren't using their new one. Old laptops (dock, old bag and power cords) need to be returned to Technology immediately. We will begin sending emails to staff who have not returned theirs.!
13: Exchange Server (Email) | District Software | All campus staff with Win7 machines have been upgraded to the new Exchange server. | During this transition from the old to the new mail server, you may experience difficulty seeing if someone has a meeting scheduled on their calendar if they are still on the old server. Once everyone is moved to the new server, this will clear up.
14: SchoolMessenger | The district is transitioning to the hosted SchoolMessenger product. The software has been upgraded and new training will take place on the new system. Contact: Tammy

16: SchoolFusion | SchoolFusion is the software vendor where the district's public website is housed. Once the master schedules are finished we will upload all teachers and students to SchoolFusion so the classroom Fusion pages can be created. Thereafter, weekly uploads will be sent to SchoolFusion to reflect new students and schedule changes. Please urge your teachers to open cases in Eduphoria, Help Desk, Technology, SchoolFusion for assistance.

18: Eduphoria | PDAS | Please be certain you are picking the teachers you appraise. Reminder: Eduphoria, PDAS, Evaluations Tab, PDAS Management, then click on the teacher's name you are choosing. New teachers cannot see PDAS to complete their Teacher Self Report until you do this.
19: Help Desk | All requests for Technology assistance must be routed through Eduphoria, Help Desk, Technology. This will help us in being certain we are seeing to your needs in a timely manner.
20: Wireless Network Information | Please see handouts located in Sharepoint, Tech Help. DISD - Win7 laptops owned by the district Dville-Wireless - any devices not owned by DISD as well as district owned iPads and iPods. Requires second authentication though the content filter in the browser. This second authentication will timeout after 30 minutes of inactivity or 90 minutes of being connected. Guest - needs to use Dville-Wireless. Someone on your campus will need to help them enter the password and let them know the guest username and password. | Live on Friday, August 3rd district wide
