1: Week One We learn the procedures in this class and what we will be expected to do each week. We learned how the points work and how we move from novice to intern and intern to expert. We also learned the best way to make a 100 in this class is to do your work and make 100's on the quizzes.
2: Week One (Cont.) We made our briefcase front and back covers. I made mine about purses and not quiting and be your best. We also learned how to put them together the briefcases and I helped some people put their's together.
3: Week Two We learned about Internet search tools and method. We learned how the different Internet search tool and we learned the different Internet search methods. Did different things with our week 2 vocabulary words that went with our Internet search tools and method lesson. We did pictionary and I made a powerpoint to help me to remember my vocabulary. We also took week 2 quiz and i made a 100.
4: Week Two (cont.) We also had to do two tasks with Internet search methods and tools
5: Week Three We learned about copyrights laws and how to use information correctly that you get from the Internet. We did some graphic organizer to learn about URL's how it broken down. we also did a graphic organizer on authentic content. we basically learned about ways to use information and pictures legally in presentation and other things.
6: Week Four We learned about the different electronic communications such as text messaging, blogging, or discussion boards. We learned what is safe and is not safe to do when on the Internet. We learned about the different things that are not safe such Spam or Spyware.
7: Week Five We basically review over formating tables, pages, and paragraphs on word. we went over bold, subscript, superscript, italicize, underlining, small caps, cut/paste, shading, making tables, etc.... This is what we should have already have learned in DCS.
8: Week Six We learned about Business documents; Agendas, Business Letter, Memo, Minutes, Personal Business Letter, Research Report, Resume, and Table of Contents. We learned what they are, what they look like, how to make one, and how they are used in the business world.
9: Week Seven We learned how to make Marcos and Merge documents. We learned that Marcos can save so much time when you have to type something over and over. We learned that merge document can be programed to write your letters for you as long as you type in the data on a spreadsheet.
10: Week Eight We learned how to make advertising things for a business. We had to create a business and make a business card, a flyer, a letterhead, and a newsletter for our business. We got to see how easy it is on publisher because it's already programed to do most of these things.
11: Week Ten We learned about spreadsheets. We learned how to sort and filter and what's the different between them. We learned how to freeze panes, put in different functions like: vlookup, lookup, count, counta, sum, now, and etc...
12: Week Thirteen We learned about charts and graphs on spreadsheets. We learned how to do count and counta to figure out the number of things like how many people have what color. We learned how to put that information into a data series and make a chart or graph. We learned what each chart and graph is for.
13: Week Thirteen (Cont.) We learned what each part of a chart and graph is called. We also learn that graph and charts are used to see data in better way. Businesses used chart and graphs a lot to see the process of there business over time.
14: Week Fourteen We learned about Databases. We learned that Databases are very complicated but when you get it setup it can be easy to use. We learned about the parts that make up a databases, the relationships, and the steps to make a database. We also had to with our group make a database of the student schedule.
15: Week Fifteen We learned about presentation and how to make interactive presentation. we learned the 10 steps to making a presentation. We learned how to put multimedia in our presentation. We learned how to make it embedded or linked. We learned about appropriate and inappropriate content. We also had to make an interactive presentation.
