1: Casey Johnson | Especially in the elementary grades, teachers usually set the desks up into groups or tables. This sets up a more social environment in the classroom and allows the teacher to have more control over the students.

2: Another common trait of elementary classrooms is the use of boards. Teachers mainly use this space for calendar and weather stations.

3: Recess | This adds an organizational and colorful touch to the classroom.

4: Some teachers also choose to include quiet spaces or reading corners.
