1: Giving students a inspiring and interesting classroom, explicitly relevant to what they are studying, creates a setting where they are eager to expand on their knowledge

2: Mr Petrie indicated at the start of the year that each teacher would be in charge of creating a more engaging and interesting learning environment

5: In both rooms, posters relating to content, student work and photos of class activities have been put up in the rooms

8: Mnemonics and student work displayed to trigger student learning

9: Good student work has been displayed - reward and recognition for effort and examples of teacher expectations

11: Pictures of students having fun in the subject | Personalising the room with photos helps make the room 'their own' and demonstrates what is happening in these subjects to other students
