8: I attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida and received my Bachelors degree in elementary education.
9: I am currently half way through my Masters Degree from Michigan State University.
10: My Kindergarten class.
11: I have taught kindergarten for six years at Poinciana Elementary. I was the 2006 New Teacher of the Year and the 2010 Inclusion Teacher of Year for my school. I am on our school PBS and RtI teams.
12: The challenges that I face as an educator:

14: ELEPHANTS AT PATARA FARM | November 12 | I have relatively little experience with struggling readers, before this year I have been lucky to have classes that I have been able make successful academic growth. I always thought of myself as taking the challenges that I was given and doing the most that I can with them. However this year I have a class of English Language learners, children with no previous educational experience, and students with no support at home. And I find myself frustrated with the lack of progress that some of them have made. | my experience with struggling students
