28: FESTIVAL DEL SOL EXIBITION 'trash"
29: Dear Families, I am happy to share that your child is now a “trash expert”. If your child is commenting when someone litters, or when they find trash on the ground and want to pick it up; you can thank the Kindergarten teachers! We have been investigating how trash on the ground travels through storm drains and into the ocean. We have created sea animal habitats using recycled materials. We have created Public Service Announcements to inform people about the “trash problem” and create awareness. We have learned what you can compost to help our planet. We are making a difference! You can see for yourself during our exhibition regarding how we are making a difference and becoming aware of how to help reduce, reuse and recycle. Next week we are going to be very busy preparing for exhibition. Our exhibition will be next Thursday from 4:30-5:30pm in the Kindergarten classrooms. We do not have any field trips planned in the near future, so you may clean your snack-filled car and I want to thank you all again for being so supportive and generous in allowing us to go to so many wonderful places! From the Birch Aquarium to Sea World to The Children’s Museum; the students have learned so much through real-world experiences and hands-on learning. Thank you for all of your support! - Miss Danielle
