 2. what are some of the positive and negative challenges you have faced so far and how did you deal with these challenges?
The transition from primary school to secondary school has had a positive and negative effect on me. One of the positive challenges that I have faced in high school is building up my confidence to communicate with people. This helps me to open up and be less shy around different people. The second positive challenge I have faced in high school is growing in maturity. I have learnt to become more organised, prepared and open minded. These positive challenges are one of many changes that I have experienced in my early stages of secondary schooling.
With positive challenges come negative challenges. In reference to my positive challenges I admit that it is difficult to adjust to the high school environment. Moving from one class to another as well as learning new subjects and adjusting to the timetable can be difficult. I feel that high school is a complete opposite to primary school and I feel that it is going to take me more time to get used to.
 3. State five coping Strategies(ways you deal with things) you would give to a year 6 student coming to high school.Name five support services you would recommend they seek if they needed help?
Entering high school can be a challenging process where some students find it complicated to change a routine that they have become used to, various coping strategies I would suggest to a student entering high school include; encouraging the student to a fresh new start at school, enter into team sports which allow you to meet new people, being your own individual, thinking positively and always have fun and enjoy learning.
In coping with challenges a student may seek help when they are facing difficulties. Support services they can visit include councillors, teachers, friends, principle; kids help line and other websites, parents and siblings. These individuals will be able to encourage the student as well as help them with their problems.
 4. Now that you are in high school, name 2 short-term and 2 long-terms goals you would like to achieve?
By entering high school I have been able to think of my short term and long term goals I would like to achieve. My short term goals include completing my homework on time and being prepared for my next class. My second short term goal is being more attentive and understanding of what the teacher is explaining in class. These are important short term goals as I experience them on a daily bases.
Various long term goals I would like to achieve in high school include the ability to complete all assessment tasks on time, as this will affect my end of year report as well as demonstrate my strengths and weaknesses. Another goal I would like to achieve is being organised and prepared. This will allow me to become a more mature and developed individual which therefore help me in the long term.
 5. Explain one change you expect to have to deal with in the next 5 years?
One of the big changes I expect to accomplish within the next 5 years is the ability to have completely changed my outlook on high school, as well as decided what I would like to do after school. I think that what I decide to learn in the 5 years of schooling will help me to become a more mature individual.
The End Hope you enjoyed it!!!
