2: The student is expected to: use patterns and relationships to develop strategies to remember basic multiplication and division facts (such as the patterns in related multiplication and division number sentences (fact families) such as 9x9=81 and 81/9=9.

5: Ask students to fold paper into half “hot dog style”. Now advise students fold in half once more but “hamburger style. You will have 4 equal sections. This will give us 4 equal sections when sheet is spread out. Each student will imagine they have 7 stars. The stars represent 7 students in a group. The sheet of paper will represent a roller coaster with 4 seats with room for 2 students in each seat. Expressed 7/2=x full seats.
