18: TIP #6: The world is constantly changing everyday. It is our job as educators to prepare our students for the real world, and the real world is a multicultural one. For a lot of students, the way they act at school, may be very different from how they act at home. Conflicting cultural trends can cause discrimination and lack of compassion. This can lead to bullying and other undesirable results. Adding a culture page can be a small, but effective way to open students' minds. Have students contribute positive quotes and pictures of how they do things at home or in their home country. This will show students that different- is not always bad. | it's a small world after all.. | South Africa is now the only country in the world to have hosted the Soccer, Cricket and Rugby World Cup! | Madahascar is also referred to as the Red Island, due to the red color of its soil. | The famous board game, called Chess, was invented in India. | Italy is said to have more masterpieces per square mile than any other country in the world. | One in every five people in the world is Chinese. China’s population is four times that of the United States.

You can request a link or DVD tutorial from your Volume Representative. How do I add students to work on the project? You can have all of your students collaborate on your Mixbook by inviting them as contributors. To invite students as contributors to your book, each of your students will need to register for Mixbook accounts. Once they have done this, please go to the "Home" tab in your account, then click on the "Settings" link next to your book. Scroll down until you see the "Add Contributors" link at the bottom of the "Settings" page. From this page, you can enter the email addresses associated with each student's account. Once you click the "Send Invitation!" button, each of your students will be given access to this project. They will be sent an email linking them to the project, as well as a notification at the top of their home screen once they log into their Mixbook account. If you would like your students to use your login to edit the Mixbook simultaneously without having to create their own user accounts, please provide them with your login information and assign them separate pages to work on. Please note that with this option, they will have access to all of your account settings and previous Mixbooks. Please be sure to instruct students not to view other student's books or pages in the Mixbook Editor, and instead to view the book preview. If two students work simultaneously on the same book or page, it may save incorrectly. I'm excited about my finished product! Can I get a proof before my final order? Yes, absolutely! I've submitted my order but I need to make a change- what do I do?? You have 2-hours after your order to make any changes before it goes to the printer for production.
