FC: 2013 THE ADELSECKS | This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Your children will be like olive shoots around your table. Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord. Psalm 128:3-4

The Wilmarths came to visit. All 8 of them. We had a house full of fun. We went to The Great Park and rode the Merry-Go-Round and played soccer. We had an adult date night. The four of us went out to eat and then we went to see Les Mis. The next day we went to the beach and then spent our evening at the jacuzzi. On Saturday the boys played soccer and later the adults played "How to Host a Murder."

 1st Degree Probationary Black Belt

I started Taekwondo to make my way through the belts with Caleb. Although it is difficult, my success in this sport will help me develop courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. After we found this amazing studio, Caleb and I started together. We discovered that Taekwondo is more challenging than other sports. In Taekwondo, you keep learning new things rather than doing the same thing over and over. This keeps every day new and exciting. They display belts that show your rank and this makes you want to achieve a higher rank. Life is a lot like Taekwondo; the harder you work to achieve something, the better you will get. One of my goals was to get to black belt with no setbacks. Thankfully, today I have reached that goal. Because of my enthusiasm, some in my family joined Taekwondo. When they joined they became as enthusiastic as me. Having my family there reminds me to work harder to be an example and help them achieve their goals. It is fun to teach them, and learn with them. When I started Taekwondo I told my mom I was going to quit when I became a Brown belt!! Breaking boards seemed impossible. But I pushed through, and with the encouragement of my friends, family and the instruction of all my instructors, I broke a board on my first try. There was no reason to quit, I learned perseverance. Plus, my friends and family were learning with me. The thing I am most excited about when I get my black belt is to be called Mr. Adelseck not just by my younger sister and brother, but by my mother!!! I will miss being called Carson City by Mr. Williams. But I hope he will still call me Mr. Carson City every now and then. I already started setting new goals. I am more excited now than ever. Best of all, as a black belt I will be able to do new things that I would never get to do as a colored belt. I hope to join the demo team and go to black belt Mondays. Most of all, I want to thank my instructors, especially Mr. and Mrs. Williams. They have invested so much in me and have believed in me since the first day I stepped into Taekwondo United. Thanks to everyone who has helped me. The black belts ahead of me are inspirational and great teachers. I hope that my success will enable me to love God and those around me more.

 Winkler's Christmas Party December

We thought it would be fun to take all 6 kids to get a picture with Santa, but it wasn't. After waiting in line for 3 hours, we were told that we needed to pay $39.95 for the picture.
