1: APPLE PIE 6 Cups thinly sliced peeled Granny Smith Apples (6 large apples) 3/4 Cup sugar 2 Tablespoon flour 3/4 Teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 Teaspoon salt 1/4 Teaspoon nutmeg 1 Tablespoon lemon juice | Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 425 | Place apple mixture in uncooked pie crust I like to substitute the cinnamon and nutmeg for 2 teaspoon of apple pie spice mix.
3: Lana's Pound Cake 3 Sticks of butter 3 Cups of sugar 1 8oz Cream cheese 6 Eggs 3 Cups flour 2 Teaspoons vanilla 1 Teaspoon Baking powder Preheat over 350 Cream sugar, cream cheese and butter together. Add eggs and mix well. Add flour, baking powder vanilla mix well for 5 minutes and bake one hour and 10 minutes in bundt pan.
4: 4 eggs 3 cups sugar 1 cup oil 2 cups pumpkin 2/3 cup water 3 1/3 cups flour 2 tsp. baking soda tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. nutmeg tsp ginger cup black walnuts | Bake at 35 about 45-60min you can substitute the pumpkin for zucchini, apple sauce, or bananas to make other breads. | PUMPKIN BREAD | what happens in the cabin, stay in the cabin! | Harry it's your shot
5: Beat eggs; add sugar, beat in oil slowly, mix in pumpkin and water. Sift dry ingredients into separate bowl. Add dry ingredients in pumpkin mixture. Blend well. Add nuts and pour into greased and floured pans. makes three loafs. | who said the Royal's have all the fun!
6: Mom's | Sugar Cookies | 1/2 Cup butter | 1 Cup sugar | 1 Egg | 1 Teaspoon baking powder | 1 3/4 Cup flour | 1 Tablespoon milk | 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla | 1/4 Teaspoon salt | 375 | 8 to 10 min | Preheat oven to 375. Cream butter and sugar, add egg and mix. add remaining ingredients and mix until smooth, Refrigerate dough 2 hours. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes
7: 2 doz | 2 1/2 Cups of Bisquick baking mix 3/4 Cup cold whole milk 1 Teaspoon parsley flakes 4 Tablespoon cold butter (1/2 stick) 1/4 Teaspoon garlic powder 1 1/2 Cup grated cheddar cheese | Cheddar Biscuits | Preheat over at 400 Combine Bisquick with cold butter in a medium bowl using a pastry cutter. Add Cheese, milk and 1/4 teaspoon garlic power. Mix by hand until combined, don't over mix. Drop portions of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the tops of are lightly brown. | When biscuits are done melt 2 tablespoons butter in microwave. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and the dried parsley flakes. Brush tops of biscuits with butter mix.
8: Stew chicken with onion and celery in large covered pan until falling off bone. Clean meat off the bone and drain the broth into a small saucepan. Place meat back in large pan adding enough broth to cover the meat | 1 Cup sifted all-purpose flour 2 Teaspoon baking powder 1/2 Teaspoon salt 1/2 Cup milk 2 Tablespoons salad oil | Dumplings Add flour, baking powder, salt, milk and oil into mixing bowl to make dumplings. Mix well and drop by tablespoon into the pan that contains meat and broth. Cover and cook on low for about 10 to 15 minutes. | Gravy 1/2 Cup flour 1 Cup cold water Mix flour and water well in a medium saucepan bring 1 quart of broth to a boil then gradually add the flour and water mixture stirring constantly, until mixture is thick and bubbly. season with salt and pepper. Once thick and bubbly add to the meat and dumplings pan. | Chicken and Dumplings
9: Chicken and Dumplings | Chicken and Dumplings | Pot Roast 3 to 4 lbs of boneless beef chuck roast 1 Pkg Lipton onion soup mix can of cream of onion soup Salt Pepper Potatoes Carrots onion Celery | Preheat over 350 Place chuck roast in roasting pan, mix pkg Lipton onion soup with cup of water. Salt and Pepper roast pour soup over roast. Places potatoes, carrots, onion, and celery around roast, cover with foil and cook until brown and potatoes and carrots are soft.
10: DOUBLE CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE | 4 Eggs 2 cups granulated sugar 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar 3 sticks butter, softened 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 cup sour cream 1 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips 2 teaspoons instant coffee 1/2 cup boiling water 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 3 cups all purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt | Preheat oven to 325 Grease and flour our use pan spray with flour to prepare pan | in small bowl, dissolve instant coffee in water, stir in cocoa powder and mix well. set aside to cool Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt, set aside. in large bowl, beat butter, sugar with mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla. Combine cocoa mixture and sour cream. Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream mixture, beginning and ending with flour mixture, beating after each addition until smooth, fold in chocolate chips | Bake 60 - minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
11: Baked Pears 2 Medium Pears Peeled and halved 4 teaspoons butter 1/4 cup of Brown Sugar 1/4 water 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon all space | in small sauce pan malt butter sugar, water and spices. bring to boil and pour over prepared Pears that have been placed in backing dish. Bake at 350 for about an hour.
12: Potato Rolls | 1/2 Cup hot mashed potatoes 1/4 Cup shortening 1/4 Cup sugar 1 1/2 Teaspoons salt 1 Cup milk, scalded 1 Egg 4 to 4 1/2 Cups sifted all-purpose flour | Soften yeast in warm water (110). Add egg to yeast. Then add egg & yeast to Potato mixture. Stir in 2 cups of flour: beat well. Stir in remaining flour (or enough to make a soft dough). Knead on lightly floured surface till smooth and elastic (6 to 8 minutes). | Place in a lightly greased bowl, turning once to grease surface. Cover: place in warm area let rise till double (about 1 hour). Punch down. Shape in ball. Cover and let rest 10 minutes. Shape in rolls: place on greased baking sheet. Let rise till almost double (about 1 hour). | Combine potatoes, shortening, sugar, salt and hot milk. Cool to lukewarm. | 1 Package active dry yeast 1/4 Cup warm water | Preheat over 400. Bake 10 to 12 minutes makes 2 dozen

14: Sister Tracy's Potatoes 1 Bag of plain, frozen hashbrowns potatoes 1 Can of cream of chicken soup A couple table spoons of butter Salt Pepper 1 (8-12oz) container of sour cream 1 bag of shredded cheddar cheese | Preheat over 425 Combine the frozen hashbrowns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream and butter. Salt & pepper to taste. Place in a casserole dish & flatten as much as possible in dish, top with cheese. Cover with foil. Cook for an hour to an hour and a half. The edges will be light brown when done.
15: Aunt Delores/cousin Sylvia Apple Turnovers 2 Large Granny Smith Apples 2 Tubes 8pk crescent rolls 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 Sticks butter 1 Teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 Teaspoon nutmeg 12 oz Mt.Dew Peel Apples cut in 8ths. Wrap each section in a crescent roll. place in a 9/13 baking dish. Mix melted butter,Mt Dew sugar and cinnamon. Pour over dumplings. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes
16: Chili | 2 lbs Ground beef 1 Large onion chopped 1/2 Cup celery chopped 1 Large can tomato sauce 1 Can kidney beans 1 Can Brooks chili Beans 1 1/2 teaspoon Chili power Pepper & salt to taste 1Tablespoon sugar | Cook ground beef and drain. After you drain the ground beef add onion, celery, salt, pepper, and chili power mix well and cook all together for a few minutes. Once mixture is warm place in large sauce pan along with beans and tomato sauce add a cup of water, cover and cook until everything has blended together.
17: Mexican Tortilla Pizza Soft Tortilla Shell Cheddar or Mexican Cheese Onion Green Pepper Green Olives Salsa Black Beans Taco meat | In small frying pan prepare your taco meat drain and place on tortilla shell. Cook onion pepper until soft and place on tortilla shell add rest of ingredients and back at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes until cheese is bubbling
18: Italian Tortilla Pizza Diced Tomatoes Mozzarella Cheese Onion Green Pepper Green Olives or any other pizza topping you like | In small frying pan cook green pepper and onions until soft place on tortilla along with rest of topping and cover with cheese bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes until cheese is bubbling.
19: Meat Loaf | 1 1/2 Pounds Ground Beef | 1 Egg | 1 Cup oats | 1/4 Teaspoon salt | 1/4 Teaspoon Pepper | 1 Large shopped onion | 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce | 1 Cup of Ketchup | Mix all together and mix well place in backing dish. Add more salt and pepper to top and cover with ketchup. Cook in Preheated over at 350 for about an hour.
20: THYME | GINGER | SAGE | SESAME SEED | Meatballs and Spaghetti 1/2 Pound of Pork 1/Pound of beef 1/2 Pound of Italian sausage 1 cup fresh white bread crumbs 1/4 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs 2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese 2 teaspoons salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1 extra- large egg, beaten vegetable oil olive oil | Place the ground meats, both bread crumbs, parsley, Parmesan, salt, pepper, nutmeg , egg and 3/4 cup warm water in a bowl. Combine very lightly with a fork. Using your hands, lightly form the mixture into 2-inch meatballs. You will have 14 to 16 meatballs | brown meatballs in the oil until browning on all sides about 10 minutes
21: CLOVES | Sauce: 1 Tablespoon good olive oil 1 Cup chopped yellow onion 1 1/2 Teaspoons minced garlic 1/2 cup good red wine 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes, or tomatoes puree 1 tablespoon chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley 1 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper | in the same pan you browned the meatballs all olive oil and onion and saute over medium heat until translucent. add garlic and cook for 1 more minute. add the wine and cook on high heat, scraping up all the brown bits in the pan, until almost all the liquid evaporates, about 3 minutes. Stir in the tomatoes, parsley, salt and pepper. Add meatballs to sauce, cover and simmer on low for 30 minutes
