1: Decatur Adventist Junior Academy | This book is dedicated to Mr. Frank Kelly who has shown the character of Christ daily in his 6 years of service here at DAJA.

2: Adventist Edge Mission Statement: ~ Educators developing Goals for Excellence to Deliver, ~ God-Centered, ~ Results oriented, in an ~ Environment that nurtures, ~ Aligned with Adventist and National Standards ~ Team Effort | The Mission of the Decatur Adventist Junior Academy is : To develop the whole being: mental, physical, spiritual emotional and social through love for God and humanity and academic achievement, to prepare its students for a competitive and global marketplace.

3: me | Message From Our Principal | The Lord has this year blessed the Decatur Adventist Junior Academy (DAJA) with 96 precious students in grades PreK-8. I have been impressed as a new principal, with the support and commitment from the DAJA family – School Board, teachers, staff, parents, churches and volunteers. I feel encouraged and motivated to dream BIG because we have a strong team (which is a vital component of our ministry) to support our drive for excellence and to make our school a model institution in the state of Georgia. We take pride in providing a safe and nurturing environment as well as strong academic programs for our students. To continue providing quality education, the School Board is making plans to implement a five-year development plan focused on the following areas: innovative academic programs (faith-based and aligned to the common core); up to date technology (implemented throughout the curriculum); improved school community relations (with emphasis on outreach ministries); facility expansion (new gymnasium); and strides towards establishing a strong financial base. I salute our home and school for an outstanding job in raising funds to support our programs. Today our computer lab is functioning as a 21st Century facility, which we plan to continue upgrading in order to provide our teachers and students with the tools they need to be successful. I have enjoyed working and interacting with all of our students. DAJA can proudly say that it has some of the best behaved, diligent, and God-fearing students in the community. Keep up the good work and strive for nothing less than excellence in every aspect of your life. Congratulations to our 2013 graduating class. As you begin a new era in your pursuit of knowledge, remember to set your priorities right. Commit time and effort into that which is important and necessary. Allow the Lord to go before you in all your endeavors (Matthew 6:33) and He will bless abundantly. We invite our friends and family to not just watch us grow, but to partner with us as DAJA continues its mission of educating for eternity. Thank you for the opportunity to serve this GREAT school.
