FC: EMMA'S EDIBLES tasty dishes from tiny hands

1: May all of your days be delightful treats and filled with scrumptious adventures. - Grandma and Grandpa Verssue | Dear Emma,

2: Fall delights your senses with crisp air, fallen leaves, and baked goods. | AUTUMN

3: Ingredients: 2 packages of unflavored gelatin 2 cups boiling water 6 oz. concentrated apple juice Directions: 1. Stir the gelatin with the boiling water till it is completely dissolved 2. Add the apple juice 3. Lightly grease a muffin pan with butter 4. Lightly grease a 9x13 cake pan or glass dish 5. Let cool in fridge for 2-3 hours | Apple Finger Jello

4: BLENDER APPLESAUCE | Ingredients: 6 apples 1/2 cup honey few drops of water peeler plastic knife blender Directions: 1. Peel the apples 2. Cut each apple into four pieces 3. Put apples, honey, and the small amount of water into the blender 4. Blend until smooth 5. Enjoy!

5: Applesauce Muffins | Ingredients: 1 cup softened margarine 2 cups sugar 2 eggs 3 teaspoons vanilla 4 cups flour 1 teaspoon cloves 2 teaspoons All Spice 1 tablespoon cinnamon 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 lb. applesauce Directions: 1. Cream together the margarine, sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon of the vanilla 2. Measure out and mix together the flour and spices 3. Blend 2 teaspoons of the vanilla into the applesauce and baking soda 4. Add this mixture to the batter 5. Grease a muffin tin and line with paper cups. 6. Spoon the batter into the tin cups 7.Bake at 400 degrees for 12-minutes 8. Remove from oven and let them cool before serving

6: WINTER | Winter brings the cold and snow, but also the holidays, warm dishes, and sweet treats.

7: Ingredients: 1 box lemon cake mix 1 egg 1 8 oz carton Cool Whip, thawed 1/4 cup water Directions: 1. Mix all ingredients in an electric mixer until well blended. 2. Drop by teaspoonfuls into powdered sugar and roll around until well-coated. 3. Place on greased cookie sheet. 4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes 5. Remove from cookie sheet and cool on wire rack. Makes 36-40 cookies | GREAT GRANDMA'S LEMON COOKIES

8: Ingredients: 1 graham cracker (separate into 2 squares) 2 tablespoons white icing 6 large marshmallows 10-12 chocolate chips 2 candy corns Directions for One Snowman: 1. Place the graham cracker square on a plate 2. Frost the top of the cracker 3. Place one large marshmallow on the frosting 4. Ice the top of the first marshmallow 5. Put the second marshmallow on top, and then repeat for the third marshmallow 6. Frost the back of the chips and make two eyes, a smile and buttons 7. Ice the back of the candy corn to make a nose 8. Serve your guests | SNOWMEN S'MORES

9: GRANDMA'S PUMPKIN BARS | Icing 1 - 3 oz package cream cheese (softened) 1/2 - cup butter 1 - teaspoon vanilla 3 1/2 - cups sifted powder sugar 2 tablespoons milk | Bars 4 - eggs 2 - cups granulated sugar 1 - cup cooking oil 1 - 16 oz can pumpkin 2 - cups all-purpose flour 2 - teaspoons baking powder 2 - teaspoons ground cinnamon 1/2 - teaspoon salt 1 - teaspoon baking soda | Directions: (1) Beat together eggs, granulated sugar, oil, and pumpkin until light and fluffy. (2) Stir together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and baking soda. (3) Add dry ingredients to pumpkin mixture and mix thoroughly. (4) Spread batter in an ungreased 15x10x1 baking pan. (5) Bake and then let the bars completely cool. (6) Beat the cream cheese and add sugar as you go. (7) Blend in the remaining ingredients (vanilla, powdered sugar) a little at a time. (8) Add a scant amount of milk (approximately 2 tablespoons), while continuing to beat the mixture until you reach desired consistency. 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes | Ingredients:

10: SPRING | Spring arrives with fresh flowers and green grass. It's time to enjoy some eggs and candy, while planting the garden.

11: Mud Pies | Ingredients: 1/4 cup milk 1 tablespoon chocolate instant pudding powder 1 miniature graham cracker pie crust 4 Chocolate sandwich cookies Blue candy sprinkles Gummy worms Directions: 1. Place the cookies in a sandwich bag and crush them up to make the soil (save the bag) 2. Place the cookies in a bowl 3. Put the milk and pudding powder in the sandwich bag, seal it, and mush it to make the mud 4. Cut a corner of the bag 5. Squeeze the mud into the pie crust 6. Sprinkle the mud with 1 tablespoon of soil 7. Top with blue candy for rain 8. Plant a gummy worm or two

12: Ingredients: 4 slices of white bread 3 oz. package cream cheese (at room temperature) 1 tablespoon strawberry jelly 1 tablespoon grape jelly 1 tablespoon mint jelly Directions: 1. Using a plastic knife cut the crust off of each slice 2. Spread 1 tablespoon of jelly 3. Spread 1 tablespoon of cream cheese 4. Spread 1 tablespoon of each of the remaining two jellies 5. Wrap sandwiches in Saran Wrap 6. Refrigerate for 1 hour 7. Have an adult help you cut in your desired shape | RAINBOW SANDWICHES

13: Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 egg 1 cup milk 4 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup melted margarine 1/2 cup raisins Directions: 1. Combine the sugar with the melted margarine 2. Beat int he egg 3. Stir in the milk 4. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt 5. Mix together enough to moisten the flour 6. Stir in the raisins 7. Prepare a greased or paper-lined muffin tin 8. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes | BUG MUFFINS

14: The heat is on, so it's time for summer camp and the pool. Enjoy some frozen delights, fresh fruits, and crisp vegetables from the garden. | SUMMER

15: Ingredients: 6 cups Crispix cereal 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 1/2 cup margarine 12 oz chocolate chips 2 cups powdered sugar Directions: 1. Melt the peanut butter, margarine, and chocolate chips together in the microwave or on the stove. 2. Put the powdered sugar in a paper sack 3. Put cereal in the sack 4. Pour the mixture in the sack 5. Shake until well-coated | PUPPY CHOW (Not for actual puppies!)

16: Ingredients: 6 oz. frozen orange juice 1 cup milk 1 cup water 1/2 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 10-12 ice cubes 1 package of Dixie Cups Directions: 1. Mix ingredients in a large pitcher 2. Pour contents into Dixie Cups 3. Freeze cups for 2-3 hours Makes 6 cups | Ingredients: 1 6 oz. can frozen grape juice concentrate 1 cup milk 2 cups vanilla ice cream Directions: 1. Pour the grape juice and the milk into a blender 2. Scoop in the ice cream 3. Blend for 20-seconds 4. Pour and sip away | THE PURPLE COW | FROZEN SUNSHINE

17: Ingredients: 6 bananas 12 popsicle sticks honey coconut wheat germ graham crackers Directions: 1. Peel the bananas 2. Cut each banana in half 3. Push popsicle stick into the end of each banana 4. Spread the honey on a cookie sheet 5. In a large bowl mix the dry ingredients 6. Roll the bananas in honey, coating both sides 7. Dip the bananas in the mix 8. Wrap the bananas in Saran Wrap and freeze for 2-3 hours | BANANA POPS

18: PLAYTIME IN THE KITCHEN | Ingredients: 1/2 cup salt 3 1/2 cups flour 1 tablespoon powdered Alum 2 cups boiling water 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 package of Kool Aid Directions: 1. Mix flour, salt, and alum together in a bowl 2. Set the mixture to the side 3. Bring water and oil to a boil 4. Stir in the Kool Aid until it dissolves 5. Pour the liquid into dry ingredients 5. Knead until smooth 6. Store in an air tight container | HOMEMADE PLAY DOUGH

19: Liven up fruit juices and milk with homemade silly straws. Ingredients: Straws Construction paper Cookie cutters or templates (if you want to use them) Directions: 1. Use a cookie cutter or freehand, cut out shapes of construction paper 2. Decorate like the cookie cutter, or with smiley faces, Emot-icons, or animal faces 3. Cut a slit or punch a whole at the top and bottom of the shape to slide the straw through | Ingredients: 1 cup water 2 tablespoons liquid detergent 1/4 cup glycerine Food coloring of choice 2 cups water Directions: 1. Mix ingredients together | SILLY STRAW HEADS | BUBBLES
