1: Mom, This is a little recipe book of all of our favorite dishes that you make! We are so grateful for all the time you spend in the kitchen. We have been fed so well :) Thanks for all the memories around the table! WE LOVE YOU! Tayler Maddie Keaton Ian Nathan and Harrison | September 2011
2: Tayler's Favorites | My Favorite Memories. One would have to be when you caught your sweater on fire. Then dad had to get some water to get it out. That will always be a great memory. Another one would have to be when you would always try to make us laugh. One way that i remember you doing that was when you would start singing backstreet boys and dancing around. We were always so embarrassed so we would just start laughing really hard.
3: Ingredients 1 8oz. cream cheese 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 can chicken broth 1 pkg. Italian seasoning 2 TBL butter 4 chicken breasts | Directions Mix all ingredients together in blender Pour over chicken Oven: bake 45-60 minutes at 350 degrees Crock Pot: cook down for 8 hours if chicken is frozen. Shred chicken Serve over noodles | Cream Cheese Chicken
4: Ingredients 1 lb. chicken breasts- strips 3 garlic gloves-chopped 2 Tbsp.. Butter/Margarine 3 cups chicken broth 3 Tbsp cornstarch 1 Tbsp. Parsley | Directions Melt butter in skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 gloves of garlic. Stir; add chicken and cook thoroughly. Remove Chicken. Add Broth and remaining garlic to skillet and cook about 5 minutes. Dissolve cornstarch in a little water and add to the broth. Stir while adding until sauce thickens. Add parsley and chicken into liquid. Serve over rice or noodles. | Garlic Chicken
5: Ingredients 1 box Chocolate Cake mix 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup oil 4 eggs 1 lg. box instant chocolate pudding 12 oz. Chocolate chips 1 cup sour cream | Directions Mix all ingredients without Chocolate chips. Beat 5 minutes then fold in chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes in greased bundt pan | Gooey Chocolate Cake
6: Maddie's Favorites | Mom, Thank you so much for all the fun memories that you have made in the kitchen and when we eat together. I have a lot of memories so it was hard to pick just one. But I especially love Christmas for our family. I love making sugar cookies together every year. I also love when we make the homemade pizza's. It always seems to turn out to be so much fun. We always laugh so much when we are doing these things. I love the video we have of us making sugar cookies when everyone is little and we are just all being so crazy. That is just us! 7: Ingredients 4 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose white flour 1 tsp. salt 1/4 cup olive oil 2 pkgs. olive oil 1 1/2 cups warm water 2 tsp. light brown sugar | Directions Mix together 1/2 cup warm water and brown sugar. Dossolve yeast in water mixture. Set aside for 5 minutes. Combine 4 cups of the flour and salt into mixing bowl. Make a depression in the middle of the flour and add 3 Tbsp. of olive oil and 1 cup of warm water. When the yeast mixture has risen for 5 minutes, add it to the flour. | Continued on next page | Basic Pizza Dough
8: Dust the surface with flour. Mix ingredients in bowl together with hands and then pour onto surface and knead for 8-10 minutes. Add more flour to the surface until it is no longer sticky. Rub a clean bowl with olive oil and place dough in it, turning once in order to coat top of dough with oil. Let rise for 1 1/2 hours with a dish towel over top. | Basic Pizza Dough Cont.
9: Ingredients 1 roll of Ritz crackers-crushed 1/2 stick of butter-melted 2 Tbsp. poppy seeds 1 pint sour cream 5 chicken breasts 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of chicken soup | Directions Mix crackers, butter and poppy seeds. Set aside. Mix together soups and sour cream. Set aside. Boil chicken breasts until cooked. Cube. Layer in pan: Chicken- Soup- Crackers Repeat layers Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles | Poppy Seed Chicken
10: Ingredients 1 C. Sugar 1/2 lb. butter 3 T. Water 12 oz. pkg. of Chocolate chips Nuts (optional) | Directions In 2 qt. pan cook over medium heat until it turns medium brown. Stir constantly. Remove from heat. Add 1 tsp. vanilla. In a foil covered jelly roll pan quickly pour and spread Pour 12 oz. pkg. Milk chocolate chips over top. Spread melted chips Top with nuts if desired. Cool completely then break apart! | Holiday Toffee
11: Keaton's Favorites | I love having family dinner together!! I know a lot of families that don't have family dinner and I think it really just makes our family so much stronger and more awesome. So many fun memories have come from our family having dinner together, I just love it and I really miss it!
12: Ingredients 1/4 cup olive oil 1 cup chopped onions 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes 2 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 4 boneless chicken breasts | Chicken Parmigiana | 1/3 cup italian bread crumbs 1/3 cup parmesean cheese 1 Egg. Beaten 1/2 cup shreaded mozzarella cheese 2 tablespoons grated parmesean cheese
13: Directions In 3-quart saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of the oil over medium heat. Cook onions and garlic in oil for 2 min, stirring occasionally. Stir in tomatoes, sugar, salt and pepper. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; cover and simmer, stirring occasionally. Between sheets of waxed paper, flatten chicken to 1/4 inch thickness. In shallow dish, mix bread crumbs and 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese. Dip chicken into egg, then coat with bread crumb mixture. In 12-inch skillet, heat remaining oil over medium heat. Cook chicken in oil 10-15 minutes, turning once, until no longer pink in center. Pour tomato sauce around chicken in skillet. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over chicken; cover and heat until melted. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese just before serving
14: Ingredients 8 oz. Lasagna pasta 2 10-oz package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well-drained 1 lb. ricotta cheese 1 cup grated Parmesan Cheese, divided 8 oz. cream cheese, Softened 8 oz. mozzarella cheese, grated 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves 1/4 tsp. dried oregano leaves salt and pepper to taste | Directions Prepare lasagna pasta according to package directions: set aside. Beat together the next 8 ingredients until blended; set aside Lay out each lasagna noodle and spoon appoximately 1/2 cup filling on the top of the noodle. Roll up jelly-roll fashion. Place rolls into a 11 by 14 inch pan. Coiled side up. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees. Pour lightly sauce over the rolls and sprinkle top with parmesan cheese. Bake loosely covered for approx. 30-40 minutes or until heated through and mozzarella in filling is melted | lasagna Swirls
15: Ingredients 1 box brownie mix- prepare per box directions 2-2 oz. pkgs. Chocolate Mouse Mix 1 12 oz. Cool whip 8 Heath bars-chopped 1 C. Pecan Nuts | Directions Crumble brownies after they have cooled. Prepare mouse-don't chill. Then layer Brownie- Mouse- Cool Whip-Toffee/Pecan repeat layers Cover and refrigerate. | Chocolate Ecstasy
16: Ian's Favorite | I love when we make the deep dish pizzas on christmas eve. It is really fun and tasty.
17: Ingredients 1/2 C beef broth 1/3 cup Hoisin sauce 1/4 cup light soy sauce 2 green onions- sliced 3 Tbls. apple/orange juice 1 Tbls. Sugar 1 tsp. ginger- grated 4 garlic cloves- minced | Jap Wraps a.k.a. asian flank steak | Directions Mix and marinade ingredients- put in ziploc. Marinate overnight. Drain & broil 4 to 5 minutes from broiler and cook 15 to 18 minutes.
18: Ingredients 10 chicken breast Ranch Dressing Bread crumbs Stove Top stuffing | Ranch Chicken | Directions Thaw and pound flat chicken. Dip in Ranch Dressing. Roll in Bread Crumbs. Spread a small amount of oil in the bottom of a 14 inch Dutch Oven. Sprinkle Stove stop Stuffing on the bottom. Layer the chicken breast. (no more than 2 layers!) Sprinkle Stove Top between layers and remaining over the top. Cook about an hour until chicken is done.
19: Ingredients 1/2 C butter 1/2 C sugar 1/2 C Brown Sugar 1/2 C Peanut Butter 1 tsp. Vanilla 1 3/4 Flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt | Hershey Cookies | Directions Cream butter, sugars, and Peanut Butter. Add 1 egg and vanilla Add flour, baking soda and salt Roll in white sugar Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at the degree that mom says
20: Nathan's Favorites | My favorite memory is when we were on our way to New Mexico and all of us boys ate FiberOne bars. Then we could not stop farting and laughing. That was so funny.
21: Ingredients 1/3 C shortening 1/2 C. Sugar 2 eggs 1 3/4 C flour 1 tsp. Baking Powder 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 C. mashed ripe bananas 1/2 cup chopped Walnuts | Directions Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to the cream mixture alternately with bananas. Blend well. Stir in the nuts. Pour into a well greased loaf pan. 9 by 5 by 3. Bake 350 Degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool on Rack | Banana Nut Bread
22: Ingredients 1. Package of Frozen ravioli 1 can of Alfredo sauce | Directions Cook the ravioli until it is at desired softness. Heat up the Alfredo sauce on the stove Pour the Alfredo sauce on ravioli Enjoy! | Ravioli
23: Ingredients 2 C minus 2 TBL cake flour 1 2/3 cups bread flour 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 tsp coarse salt | 2 1/2 sticks unsalted butter 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar 1 C plus @ TBL granulated sugar 2 Large eggs 2 tsp natural vanilla extract 1 1/2 lbs chocolate chips | Chocolate Chip Cookies
24: Directions Sift flours, baking soda, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Set aside. Cream butter and sugars together until very light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla. Reduce speed to low, add dry ingredients and mix until just combined, 5 to 10 secs. Drop chocolate pieces in. Refrigerate for 24 hours. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. bake for 18 to 20 minutes. | Chocolate Chip Cookies Cont.
25: Harrison's Favorites | Sometimes we just burst into laughter so... My favorite was when mom hit Dad with a rag and dad got food on his shirt and mom said "ahh look you got food on your shirt."
26: Ingredients 1/4 C. Butter 1 C heavy cream 1 glove garlic, crushed 1/2 C. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese. | Directions Melt butter in medium sauce pan over medium low heat. Add cream and simmer for 5 minutes add garlic. add cheese. Whip quickly heating throughly | Fettuccini Alfredo
27: Molasses cookies | Ingredients 1/3 C granulated sugar plus 1/2 cup for dipping 2 1/4 C unbleached flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper 1/4 tsp. table salt 1/2 TBLS. unsalted butter, softened 1/3 C dark brown sugar 1 large egg yolk 1 tsp. Vanilla extract 1/2 C molasses | Directions Preheat oven to 375 degrees with oven rack in middle position. whisk flour, baking soda, spices, and salt in medium bowl and set aside. Beat butter with brown and granulated sugars at medium speed, for about 3 min. reduce speed to medium-low and add yolk and vanilla. Increase speed to medium and mix until incorporated. Reduce speed to medium-low and add molasses. Beat until fully incorporated about 20 second. Scrap the sides of bowl. Reduce speed to lowest setting. Add flour mixture. stir until no pockets. roll in sugar until coated. Cook for 11 minutes. Rotate halfway through baking.
