FC: OH the Shapes we will see!
Geometry is the study of shapes and their properties | Shapes not only stand alone but can come together to make other shapes!
Those who have already mastered finding Area and Perimeter of 2D figures can now learn to find the surface area of 3d figures
It is important for students to first understand 2D composite figures before exploring 3D figures
Hands on is the best way to be! after students see the equations for Surface area they can recreate the equations on their on by seeing the math!
After reviewing composite figures students should be able to identify the 2D shapes that compile the 3D shape
Way to break those shapes down
Students are able to add vocabulary to what they have discovered for themselves | Lateral means " long way"
Identifying the bases are easy! | Put them all together and TADA!
 We have conquered!!!!!
I spy a cylinder in my home
This funny cylinder is a cup! | Spheres as decorations in my living room
