July 20-22 - Hang out at Big House July 23-26 - Lake Lure (includes time alone with Carson) July 27-August 2 - Vsiti Mike and Karin in Chapin (includes crafting the new baby's bedding and room decor) August 4 - Return to La Verne | Summer, 2009, gave us an opportunity to vacation as a family once again. In the past, we had gone several times to camping spots, like Yosemite and Tahoe. But this year, we decided to invest the time and money into a different kind of memory-making trip. We had the opportunity to take Carson for a week, and enjoy him as a delightful four year old. As a family group, we enjoyed being together - playing games, swimming in the ocean, and nearly getting into a brawl with a "punk" at Eddy's Frozen Custard stand.

51: Built in 1904, it has no dishwasher, garbage disposal or air conditioner. But, plenty of love!

55: We traveled to Chapin, and helped Mike, Karin and Carson to get ready for their new baby girl - decorating her room for her arrival, which was to be the middle of November, 2009. The baby, Paisley, decided to come very early (at 29 weeks) on September 6, 2009. | A room ready for a princess!
