2: Welcome to the Tri-County International Academy ! Our school was created in order to offer a rigorous two year program of studies for students from Ashland, Holmes and Wayne Counties in Central Ohio. We offer a full International Baccalaureate curriculum that prepares our students for a successful college experience. Students in the program enjoy studying at the Academy while remaining citizens of their “home” sponsoring school. The International Academy offers IB Chemistry, IB Biology, IB Math, IB History, IB English, IB Spanish and IB German in a full diploma sequence of studies. Students are also required to study the Theory of Knowledge as well as complete 150 hours of community service, creative experiences and action activities. Students also write a 4000 word extended essay detailing research that they have undertaken. Graduates of the Tri-County International Academy find that colleges and universities are eager to enroll them knowing that each of our students has undergone intense scholastic training. Scholarship monies and course “test outs” come in great numbers. The Tri-County International Academy is not about the grade that students can earn. Our focus is about knowledge gained!
