How long have you worked at Mixbook? For over 3 years

Favorite thing about working at Mixbook The people, hands down. :)

How long did it take for you to order your first project? 7 months

If you could have one super power, what would it be and why? The ability to bend elements, either air or water. It would be wicked cool to be able to fly or to manipulate water. This is, of course, all based off of Avatar the Last Airbender series!

Congratulations on the engagement! Can you share a little bit about your story?
Tim and I met at Pulse, a Christian fellowship in college. We were acquaintances for a couple of years before we started chatting online much more often. From there, our friendship grew and eventually bloomed into a relationship. He was the first to develop feelings, but it took me another 7 months to realize those feelings. I was pretty oblivious (or in denial) to his intentions to get to know me more.

The proposal happened at Half Moon Bay with a view of the ocean at dusk. We had a dinner date planned with couple who lived there, so we took the afternoon to walk around downtown and hang out at the beach. When it came time to leave for our dinner appointment, Tim was adamant that we stay to watch the sunset. My "Maybe-Today's-The-Day" senses were going crazy! Everything seemed to line up for a proposal - the sunset was gorgeous, there was a random photographer in the distance who could take photos of the proposal, and dolphins were jumping in the waves. If he was going to propose, it would be now.

But he didn't! Instead, we went to go meet our friends for dinner, or so I thought. We parked in a parking lot next to a lit up coffee shop, and instead of going to our friend's house, he led me to the patio of the coffee shop. When I walked in, my first thoughts were, "No way. What is going on? Oh my gosh I can't believe this is happening!" There were tons of globe lights strung all around the patio, mason jars with candles floating in water, and tea light candles scattered all around. A slideshow was set up, playing through all of our photos from the past 2 and a half years. As he led me to sit down on a chair, he got out a guitar and started playing "Falling Slowly." Then, he proposed. :)

Here are some photos from the proposal!
