1: Happy New Year! We had friends over for New Year's Eve and family over for pork and sauerkraut for New Years Day ....somehow this was the only picture we have.

9: Julie and Abby both took swimming lessons all winter long. They started out in a group setting and then moved on to private lessons with Coach Jaron.

16: This year Mom helped with the Valentine pancake party in Julie's class. We had chocolate chip pancakes, made necklaces and played "Simon Says".
17: Julie took her first ride on the motorcycle this year! It was described as "the best day of my life".
20: Julie's 7th birthday started with a a balloon and green flowers from Mom and Dad. Then she had her friends over to plant flowers and break a piñata.
21: Her party continued into the evening with her family. Julie received a pogo stick, gardening day with Grammy and lots of clothes!

32: An Easter Egg Hunt led Julie and Abby to the garage where they found new bikes! Julie got a "Transformer" bike and Abby a "princess" bike.
34: Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.
38: Grammy took Abby shopping and Abby got a new dress and hair extensions which she proudly wore to school the following Monday! | Kelly Gill, Julie, Abby and Nicola roasted marshmallows after a big thunder storm came through. | Julie went shopping with Grammy and proudly wore her new dress to school | Abby!
39: Grammy helped Julie and Abby plant their own gardens this summer. Julie's garden was along side of the shed and Abby's was out front.
40: Julie and Abby spent an evening with Nana making ... milkshakes!
41: Julie and Abby team up and use the "Cars" slip and slide they got from Aunt Lisa on a hot summer day!

56: Fun! | Abby started her second year of Kindergarten at Cambridge Day School. Miss. Debra is her teacher.
57: Julie started 2nd Grade at Miller Heights. Mrs. Hludzik is her teacher.
58: Jake starts school in the infant room at Cambridge Day School. His teachers this year are Miss. Jen and Miss. Sandy! "Jake" certainly was a creative baby!
60: Julie and Abby wanted to get their ears pierced. So we went to Sweet and Sassy.
61: Julie chose gems for her first pair of earrings and Abby chose daisies!

67: Treston and Colton Defrancesco moved in down the road this year. Treston and Julie are in the same 2nd grade class together and Abby and Colton are the same age! They all quickly became good friends. Fun Fact: Colten and Julie share the same birthday!
68: This year we were not able to go to the beach. Jake was too young. Instead we took a trip to Sweet and Sassy at the Promenade Shops were the girls had manicures and pedicures, a new hair cut and then went shopping at Old Navy for the afternoon!

76: Mom and Dad volunteered to help Abby's class get ready for the Halloween parade this year.
78: Julie went trick or treating as a pirate, Abby as Rapunzel AFTER Flynn Ryder cut her hair and Jake as a lion.@
79: Dad carved a pumpkin for Jake - giving it just one dimple similar to Jacob. | Julie and Abby carved their own pumpkins this year. Julie focused on the teeth while Abby focused on the hair.
81: Hope you have the greatest Birthday ever! Happy 6th Birthday Abagail!
83: This year Abby had two parties. The first party was with her friends. We played Bingo and broke a princess pinata. The second party was with her family.
85: Abby had three cakes - a Barbie cake, a princess cake and of course Grammy's chocolate cake - which she shared with Dad for his birthday. Half the cake was topped with vanilla icing and sprinkles and the other half peanut butter icing.
86: "It's no longer classified a hurricane, but that's doesn't mean much to the folks who are feeling the effects of superstorm Sandy. The National Hurricane Center now says Sandy is a post-tropical cyclone and while it's losing strength, it still has sustained winds at 85 mph. The center of the enormous storm made landfall at 8 p.m. near Atlantic City. It's merging with Arctic cold and a winter storm from the West. Forecasters say the storm is still a vast and dangerous hybrid storm. It's already knocked out electricity to more than 3 million customers, 220,000 in our region." - WFMZ
87: Fortunately our power was restored less than 24 hours after the storm came through. TV brought peace to the Powell house. | Hurricane Sandy came through and left a lot of PA, NJ and NY residents without power for over a week. NJ had to ration gas; grocery stores were out of perishables; and lines at fast food places with power were out the door. The kids were off of school the entire week.
88: Jingle Jangle made his appearance at the dinner table!
89: Kyo was the "king" and Aunt Lisa the "queen" of Thanksgiving. They got crowns that were handmade by Julie & Abby.
90: ...2 bottles of wine later...
93: The kids put the first ornament on the tree. | We went to Unangst Tree Farm to all help cut down the tree. This year's tree was decorated at the Powell's. Grammy & Gramps came to help decorate.
94: "Ohh we got it..hot chocolate!" Julie's class sings at Miller Heights for family and friends. | Mom helps out at Julie's class party! | Julie & Abby make Gingerbread People out of marshmallows.
95: "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" Abby was the "Grinchette" in this years play at Cambridge.
96: Merry Christmas 2012! Julie and Abby's favorite gifts were their mini I Pads from Mom and Dad. This was followed by their "Baby Alive" from Grammy & Gramps. Nana & Kyo got them I Pad cases so they were allowed to use their I Pads. Jake is going to love the Batman Power Wheels he got for the summer. For now he is enjoying all his V Tech toys, clothes, bibs and movies that he received.
98: Christmas at Nana & Kyo's.
99: Kyo made Nana a very personalized picture and frame. It showcased each animal they had owned over the years.

106: Daily Life of 2012 5:15: Jake wakes up 6:15: Julie & Abby wake up 6:30: Dad leaves for work (or should be leaving) 7:30: Mom takes Julie to Miller Heights and Abby & Jake to Cambridge 8:00: Mom starts work 3:30: Dad picks up Julie 4:00: Mom picks up Jake & Abby 4:45: We are all home 5:30: Jake eats 5:45: Dinner Time 6:30: Jake eats and goes to bed. 7:00: Show and snack for Julie and Abby 8:00: Bed time for ladies! 9:00: Abby is still calling Dad for just one more hug! 11:00: Jake eats. 2:30am: Jake eats...again - and maybe wants to play too... ...And we start again...
107: Things to Note Dad got another tattoo which by the end of 2012 is still in process. Abby, by the end of 2012 has four loose teeth. Tim built the hen house for Martin Russo for Wing Bowl. Jake made his arrival one week late. Julie made star of the week at school the last week of the year. Carter might be calming down? Julie & Abby make the best big sisters to Jake. Jake slept in the crib for the first time on December 27th. Julie & Abby love their I Pads. The Deli closed and reopened as the Bethlehem Goose.!
