FC: Jamie and Sarah
Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile. We are excited to share a small part of our life with you on the following pages, in hopes that you will want to include us in your adoption plan and get to know us even better! We have been married for over four years and have one daughter, who was adopted in 2009. Sarah has always felt like adoption would play an important part in her life, and after we were married in 2007, we decided together that adoption was the right path for us to build our family. Ideally, we would like to have an open adoption, as that is the type of relationship we have with our daughter's birth family, but we are willing to accept any level of communication you are comfortable with. You are in our thoughts and prayers on a daily basis regardless of your decision, and our greatest hope is that you find peace and comfort in whatever you decide. We hope to speak with you soon! Jamie & Sarah
 About Us
We met in Atlanta in 2004 after being introduced by mutual friends. We quickly discovered a mutual love of college football, music and travel and spent lots of time getting to know each other over the next year and a half. Jamie proposed on Christmas morning in 2005, and then we were married a year and a half later in June of 2007. (We don't do anything quickly, do we?)
Sarah's biological mother died when she was four years old. Her father remarried and her stepmother became her mother - she adopted Sarah and her younger brother and raised them as her own, and later a baby sister was added to the family. Due to her experience, Sarah has always had a special place in her heart for adoption and felt like God prepared her own heart to adopt someday. Sarah grew up in a small town in Texas surrounded by animals - there were always dogs, cats, chickens, goats, lambs, pigs, and baby calves around! She is the oldest of three children - she has a younger brother and sister who both live in Texas, as do her parents. Growing up, Sarah enjoyed school and was on the honor roll and actively involved in band, art, drama, speech, and her church youth group. Sarah is a stay at home mom. In her free time, she enjoys reading, music, decorating and organizing her home, taking pictures, painting, crafting, going on walks with Payton, and spending time with family and friends. She is very creative and enjoys working on (and occasionally finishing!) projects around the house!
 About Sarah
 About Jamie
Jamie grew up in a big city in Texas. He is the middle of three children - his brother is married with three children in Oklahoma and his sister is married with two children in Massachusetts. Jamie's parents still live in Texas in the house he grew up in. In school, Jamie was on the honor roll and active in band, French club, and his church's youth group - he is still very close friends with several of his childhood friends and he enjoys going home to visit them and his family. Jamie works in television and has been nominated for and won numerous journalism and media awards over the years, including an Emmy! Jamie loves Dave Matthews Band, whitewater kayaking, fantasy football, watching just about any sport on TV, playing softball with his coworkers, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He is very enthusiastic about sports and loves to talk about his favorite players and teams - he enjoys teaching our daughter about those things and can't wait to share them with another daughter or son!
Payton is the light of our lives. Her adoption was finalized in 2009 and we are in an open relationship with her birth family. She is a very smart, happy little girl and will be a great big sister! Her favorite things are snuggling her baby dolls, giving hugs and kisses to Mama and Daddy, playing with her dog Maggie, reading books, playing outside, bath time and making BIG messes!
What Jamie loves about Sarah... When Sarah and I first met, she was a full-time nanny for two of the sweetest little girls you will ever meet. (We thought so much of them that we asked the girls to be flower girls in our wedding.) Sarah also lived with the family, so she spent more time with the girls than their parents, who worked long hours. Watching her help raise those precious little girls gave me a chance to see something most men are not lucky enough to see - a sneak peek at what my future wife would be like as a mom! I truly believe those girls are so smart, sweet and precious because of Sarah’s influence on their lives. Our daughter is growing up to be just as smart, sweet and precious. Sarah is a loving mother and wonderful wife, and she always puts the needs of our daughter and me above her own wants and needs - and that is a very rare quality to find. One of the things I love most about Sarah is her uncanny ability to make me (and everyone around her) laugh. She is one of the funniest, smartest, and most compassionate women I have ever met. She helped me overcome a very tough time in my life and I've been smiling since. Her compassion and faith in God never failed to amaze me. Now we are putting our faith in God that He will once again help our family grow!
What Sarah loves about Jamie... Jamie is one of the funniest, kindest, and most compassionate people I have ever met. When we met, I noticed right away how much he loves animals, children, his family and friends. He is loyal to a fault, and is passionate about his career and providing for his family. He works very hard so that I can stay home with our daughter and any future children we may have. He treats me with the utmost love and respect, and sets a wonderful example for our daughter. As a father, he amazes me every single day. He is incredibly patient and so very funny. He finds creative ways to interact with our daughter and teach her new things. I love watching them together -- whether it's snuggling and reading books before bedtime (or anytime she requests to be read to!), cheering for their favorite football team together, or laughing and chasing each other around the backyard. His love for our family is my greatest blessing!
Our family and friends have expressed nothing but love and excitement for us as we start down the path of our second adoption journey - they are all looking forward to helping us welcome you and your child into our lives if you choose to include us in your adoption plan. Each friend and family member is so important to us and we wouldn't be where we are today without their unconditional love and unfailing support. And most of all, Payton's grandparents can't wait to have another baby to spoil with lots of snuggles and love!
 Family & Friends
We promise... Unconditional love Laughter Hugs and kisses Memories Bedtime stories Prayers Understanding Camping under the stars Lots of books!
What adoption means to us... Adoption is unselfish...we are so thankful that you are reading this and even considering making an adoption plan for your child. We have so much respect for you and pray that you find peace as you make your decision. Adoption is a blessing...we hope you can comprehend what an incredible gift it would be if you chose us to parent your child. There is nothing in this world we want more than to give our daughter a sibling, and the person who makes that happen will richly bless our lives beyond our imagination. Adoption is about building families...and we're not just talking about a sibling for Payton! Adoption grows families by joining together the adoptive and biological...a child can never have too many cousins or grandparents in our opinion! We would consider you a cherished member of our family, just like our siblings, parents and grandparents are to us. Adoption is a future...we don't know what has brought you to this decision, but we want you to know that if you choose us to parent your child, we will offer him or her the best future we possibly can. We will provide for their emotional, physical and spiritual well-being so their future will be full of possibilities. We are praying for you as you choose the future that is best for both you and your child.
Thank you for reading our profile and considering us to parent your child. With love, Jamie & Sarah
