S: Cape Cod 2011
FC: By Jake Jolliffe
This year, we went to Cape Cod for three days. During the trip we did a wide variety of activities like boat rides, hiking, and biking. All kinds of those things. Personally I liked Bass River Sports. We had two dollars for the arcade. I didn't do so well. Those games were rigged anyway. We had a coupon for a free bucket of golf balls at the driving range. I could not hit those balls to save my life. But when I started getting mad I was hitting those balls really far out. And we also had a coupon for a free game of mini golf. I played with my two friends Christian and Nick. They cheated and we all knew it. I, on the other hand, played fairly. They would sometimes cheat for me. I actually did pretty well. And were yelling and screaming so much we didn't realize the ice cream shop was closing. So I ran up to the counter and asked if I could get an ice cream. I was the last one to get ice cream so he let me have chocolate jimmies on top too. It was delicious. That was just one activity!
This is the Captain John boat tour. Here we went to 5 activities. The Captain's deck, the knot tying activity, the lobster claw banding, the organism activity, the microscope activity, and the blubber glove activity.
Tristan and Eric both take pictures of the dangling crab that the guide is carefully holding. | Ryan foolishly puts the whale tooth on his forehead to act like a rhino. | Tristan and Eric are fumbling to make the hardest knot we attempted: The Ladder Knot | Joanna tries to band a fake crab with the special tool they use. | Nour puts her hands on the wheel of the boat. Thankfully the captains right beside her.
Here is one of the greatest place in the world: The Sand Dunes. After a long three days, it was time to hangout and get sandy. Sand+steep hills=absolute enjoyment. As simple as that.
Tristan goes all out ninja on this jump while Ryan is oblivious. | This is me racing Ryan up the hill with my signature move: grabbing his leg. | I don't know who this is but all I can say is:they have long arms. | The dunes probably don't look that steep to you but hear me out, they were!
I don't think anybody would disagree when I say after three busy days we need to sleep! Unfortunately, the teachers can be sly. Here are some embarrassing photos of us dozing off. I'll bet you enjoy this. The nerve of some people.
Now Eric and Patrick you can laugh at. They make a lovely couple | Finally a picture of me. Just not the kind of picture I wanted. Yeah, yeah laugh it up. | It's too bad I didn't get to see this. I would have laughed at him so hard!
Well, that's it. The cape cod trip was a wonderful experience. For me and for the other seventh graders. I hope they won't forget it. I hope that it will always be a part of us. We can always look back and remember. I hope the don't forget. I know I won't.
