Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there lived a poor girl named Cinderella. Her father had long passed and she was left in the hands of her evil stepmother. She had two ugly stepsisters named Anastasia & Drizella.
Cinderella's evil stepmother hated her. So she would put Cinderella to work. She was forced to sweep and mop the floor, wash the dishes, and dust the shelves. She had many animal friends. Jagues and Gus Gus were two crazy mice. They would help Cinderella all the time, along with other mice and birds.
One day a message came from the Royal Kingdom inviting the household of Cinderella to a royal ball. The stepsisters were so excited to meet Prince Charming! "You are not invited!" the evil stepmother told Cinderella.
Cinderella was so upset because she wanted to meet the prince too. She was left to mop the floor while Anastasia & Drizella were having a grand time. While she was crying, a woman appeared.
"Bibbidi bobbidi boo!" Why, it was Cinderella's fairy godmother! She was here to help Cinderella. With a wave of her magic wand she turned a pumpkin into a carriage, Gus and Jauqes into horse men, and the other mice into graceful white horses. And for Cinderella, she turned her rag dress into a beautiful, sparkling ballroom gown. On her feet were two glass slippers.
"Just remember," Fairy Godmother reminded Cinderella, "You must be home before the clock strikes twelve midnight."
Cinderella arrived at the palace and hurried in. While she was walking down the stairs all eyes were on her. The men were drooling, the women were filled with jealousy, and Prince Charming couldn't believe his eyes. Cinderella was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. The two danced all night long.
But as soon as it began, it had to end. The clock stuck twelve and off Cinderella ran. Down the stairs she went. She was running so fast one of her glass slippers fell off. Prince Charming picked it up and yelled, "What is your name!" He got no answer.
Prince Charming was determined to find the girl of his dreams, but all he had was her glass slipper. He went through all the land, trying the slipper on every lady's foot. After a while, he came to the Evil Stepmother's house. Sadly, the Ugly Stepsisters found out Cinderella was at the ball and the three of them locked her up.
The prince tried the shoe on Anastasia and Drizella, but it didn't fit. As much as the ugly stepsisters squeezed and pushed their foot into that slipper, Prince Charming knew they weren't his Cinderella. "Do you have any other daughter's?" asked the prince.
"Of course not!" the Evil Stepmother proclaimed. But the prince heard Cinderella's beautiful voice singing. It was coming from the kitchen, He followed it, and to his delight, the prince found the girl of his dreams washing the floor.
He slid the glass slipper on her foot and it fit perfectly!
Cinderella and Prince Charming got married and lived happily ever after.
