FC: MY STAR BOOK
1: DEDICATION This book is dedicated to my friends
2: A Star Is Born In the beginning of my life, I was formed when gravity pulled gas and dust together. This formed a sphere. As my growing sphere became denser, it also got hotter. Then, the hydrogen in me changed into helium. This process is called nuclear fusion.
3: In my childhood As I entered this stage of my life as a star, I also entered the longest stage a star can ever go through. At that point, energy was generated in the core of me as hydrogen atoms fused with helium atoms. This process released a huge amount of energy.
4: As an adult After my stage as a main sequence star, I will enter the stage of being a red giant. This kind of star expands and then cools after it uses all of its hydrogen. When this happens, my core will start to shrink. As my core shrinks, my atmosphere will grow very large. When my atmosphere gets big, I will turn into a red supergiant.
5: Death Of A Star When I begin to die, I will become a white dwarf, which is the final stage of a stars’ life. A white dwarf is a small but very hot star. I will also be the leftover center of an old star. When I become a white dwarf, I will have no hydrogen left so I will not be able to generate energy. Even at my last stage of life, I will be able to shine for billions of years before I finally cool out.
