5: Question 1 What was it like running for presidency? He became involved in politics. many people urged him to run for president. He said that he would not run for president if it meant running against Harry Truman. Harry Truman did not run for president so Eisenhower declared himself a republican.
6: Question 2 What was it like being president? While he was president he had to deal with the cold war. with the cold war taking place he had to concentrate on maintaining world peace. He also had to deal with desegregation of the armed forces and the schools.
7: Question 3 What was it like planning D-day? Immediately after France fell to the Germans. The allied forces planned a cross channel assault on the German forces in Normandy. In 1943 eisenhower was told by Franklin Roosevelt that he would command D-day.
8: summary I learned a lot that I did not know before like him having to deal with the desegregation the cold war. I also learned what it was like for him to plan D-day. I also learned what it was like for him running for president.
