2: Conjecture- an unproven statement that is based on a pattern or observation. | Ex. The sum of any two odd numbers is even. | 1+1=2 | Distance- the measure between two points. | EX. The measure between point A and point B.

3: Collinear Points- two points that lie on the same line.

4: Obtuse angle- an angle that is more than 90 and less than 180. | Acute angle- an angle that is less than 90 degrees.

5: Right angle- an angle that is 90 degrees. | Straight angle- 180 degree angle.

6: Segment Bisector-line or a ray or a segment that divides a line segment into two equal parts.

7: Angle Bisector- a line or segment that divides an angle into two equal parts.

8: Complementary Angles- two angles add up to 90 degrees. | Supplementary Angles- two angles add up to 180 degrees.

9: Vertical Angles- the angles opposite of each other when two lines cross.

10: Parallel lines- two lines are the same distance apart.

11: Transversal- a line that intersects two or more lines.

12: Perpendicular lines- when two lines meet and form right angles.

14: Right triangle- a triangle with a 90 degree angle | Acute triangle- A triangle with 3 angles less than 90 degrees.

15: Obtuse triangle- a triangle with one angle bigger than 90 degrees. | 180 degrees | 90 degrees

16: Pythagorean Theorem- the length of the legs squared. Equal to the hypotenuse squared. It only happens on right triangles.

17: Distance Formula- If A (x,y) and B (x,y) are points in a coordinate plane, then the distance between A and B is...

18: ASA- Angle side angle | AAS- angle angle side | SAS- side angle side

19: SSS- side side side | HL- hypotenuse leg

20: Rhombus- a quadrilateral with four equal sides. Sometimes called a diamond. | Parallelograms- quadrilateral that has two pairs of parallel sides.

21: Square- a quadrilateral that has four 90 degree angles. | Rectangle- a quadrilateral with four right angles.

22: Midpoint of a line segment- the point that splits the line in half.

23: Translation- the same image moved to a different location

24: Transformation- a transformation is an operation that maps, or moves, a figure onto an image. | dilation- The image gets bigger when it is moved.

25: reflection- when the image is reflected like a mirror.

26: Pyramid- a polygon and the lateral faces are triangles with a common vertex.

27: Cone- has a circular base and a vertex that is not in the same plane as the base.

28: Convex- to curve or bow outward.

29: Concave- to curve or hollow inward.
