1: I dedicate this page to my good friend the sun. He is a main sequence star so we are not the same age. He is a good friend of mine but I never knew he existed until the reflection of the suns light on the earth appeared. But every day people depend on him, I wonder what that would be like, if I had a job like that or a job like my other friend the moon. People on earth both reply on them. So the sun works pretty hard. I want to give a little thank you to him. Sun if you read this book I hope you enjoy it. | Dedication Page

2: People classify me by my size, mass, brightness, color, temperature, spectrum and age. I entered my life as a ball of gas and dust, gravity pulls the gas and dusk together to form me, a sphere. As the sphere gets denser it gets hotter and the hydrogen changes to helium in a process called nuclear fusion. I can be classified as one type of star early in its life cycle. New stars form from the material of old stars that have gone through their life. | First Stage—Nebula

4: Main-Sequence Star

5: After I formed I enter the second and longest stage of my life, then I get called the main sequence star. During this part of my life energy is building up in the core of me, as hydrogen atoms fuse into helium atoms. The size of the main sequence star does not change often, as long as the star has a lot of hydrogen atoms to fuse into helium atoms. My friend the sun is a Main sequence star, it took the sun 10 million years to become a main sequence star. The majority of stars in the galaxy, including our Sun, Sirius and Alpha Centauri A and B are all main sequence stars.

6: Giants, Supergiants

7: After the main sequence stage, I entered the third stage of my life cycle. This stage is when a star becomes a red giant. Eventually the lost of hydrogen causes the center of me to shrink. As the center of me shrinks , the atmosphere of me grows very large and cools to form a red giant or a red super giant. Red giants can be ten or more times bigger then the sun Super giants are at least 100 times bigger then the sun.

8: 1.In the final stage of my life cycle, I was classified as a white dwarf because I was a star that has the same mass as the sun or smaller. 2.I had no hydrogen left and I could no longer generate energy by fusing hydrogen atoms into helium atoms. 3.I could shine for a billion of years before I cool completely. 4.When I was a white dwarf star I was a small, hot, dim star that is the left over center of an old star. | White Dwarfs

12: Extra credit | I really enjoyed doing this project, it was interesting and fun and I learned more about a stars life. I also liked being creative and making a mix book. A star starts its life as a ball of gas and dust. Gravity pulls the gas and dusk together to form a sphere. As the sphere gets denser it gets hotter and the hydrogen changes to helium in a process called nuclear fusion. Then the star enters the main sequence stage, this is the longest stage of the stars life. After the main sequence stage, a star enters the third stage of my life cycle. This stage is when a star becomes a red giant. Then in the final stage of a stars life cycle, It is classified as a white dwarf because it has the same mass as the sun or smaller. A star can shine for a billion of years before it cools completely. After that stage of its life a star either slowly loses material as it gets older or causes a supernova. That is a stars life cycle reflection.
