2: Cronus And Rhea | Cronus was the first Titen. He was also the father to Zeus, Hades, Posiden, and all of the other Greek Gods. It is said that he overthrew his father Uranus with the help of his mother Gaea and became the supreme ruler of the universe. He then married his sister Rhea and she gave birth to the Greek Gods Zeus, Posiden, Hades, Hera, and a few other Gods. Cronus feared his children would over rule him, so he ate them. Accept for Zeus sence Rhea gave him a rock to eat instaid.
3: Zeus | Zeus is the God of the Heavens and God of Gods. He is married To Hera and lives on Mt. Olympus. His symbol is the thunder bolt. After his mother Rhea switched him with a stone for Cronus ton eat, she sent him to the island of Crete. He lived there untill he became old enough to chalenge him to cough up his brothers and sisters and go to war and fight Cronus. The Gods, cyclopes, and the Hecatoncheries defeated Cronus and the titens and cast them into Tartatus, a bottomless pit deep in the underworld.
4: Posiden | Posiden was the God of the sea. He controlled all things that came from or were related to the ocean like fish, tides, huricanes, and especialy sailing. It is said that sailors would pray for good weather before they set sail. His symbol is the trident. He is Zeus' brother, and helped defeat his father Cronus after being released from his stomach.
5: Hades | Hades is the god of the underworld and of the dead. His symbol is the helmit of invisobility. Persephone, his wife is in the underworld for half of the year (winter). Hades tricked her into eating the fruit of the underworld so she had to stay. But her mother convinced him to let her stay on earth for half the year and be in the underworld for the other half. In the picture above, Hades also has his three headed dog with him, Ceberus. It guards the gates to the underworld so no one escapes.
6: Queen Hera | Queen Hera was Zeus' wife, Queen of the Gods. She was the Goddess of Family and marriage. Her symbol is the sceptre. She is also said to be Zeus's older sister and mother of Hephaistos, God of technology and blacksmiths.
7: Athena | Athena is the Goddess of wisdom and war. Her symbol is the Aegis. It is said that Zeus was having a head ach one day and she came right out of his head, making her the goddess of wisdom. The city of Athens is named after her. She made the Olive tree to win the naming contest over Posiden who made the hoarse out of sea foam. She also created th spider. After losing a sewing contest to an old lady, she turned her into the first spider
8: Artemis | Artemis was the Goddess of the hunt. Her symbols are the bow and the deer. Her twin brother is Apallo, God of the sun. She is the daughter of Zeus and Leto, a Titen who tricked Zeus with her beauty. She also helped woman through childbirth.
