FC: Autobiography Of : | Brittney Anderson
HEREDITY All I ever here are “You look just like your mom “or “You and your brother look alike “. The small things are the things that make us. I resemble both my parents in different ways. I have my dad's mouth and nose and fore-head while I have my mom's eyes. Pretty smiles run in the family as well. I get my height from my mom's side of the family because I'm pretty short. My ability to grasp on to things and learn fast is something that I get from my dad. We are both big technology people that love electronics and know how things work. My dress style and just being a lady are things I've learned and grasped from my mother. My whole family is athletic , so I guess thats where I get it from. My mom ran track and cheered & my dad played basketball & softball. Thats what makes me the person I am because my parents push me so much in sports and school because they didn't have that extra push when they were younger.
Birth Order I have one younger sibling. He is 12 years old. I'm more responsible and laid back than he is. He is the grump one between the two of us. He often gets away with things that I wouldn't just for the simple fact that I'm the older one and I should know better. I was use to being the center of attention until he was born then I had to get used to sharing and knowing he would get more attention than me.
Parental Characteristics I have characteristics from both of my parents. I get my outgoing , joking , laid-back personality from my dad. I get my temper and attitude from my mom. I grasp on to things easily and a quick learner which is something I get from my dad. My dad always being like a big kid and laughing and playing jokes all the time is the reason I am the way I am , I don't like being around people who are serious all the time.
CULTURE I have a very diverse culture. The types of foods , art , and music vary between different age groups and ethnicities. Also many different beliefs. Most of my family are Christians. The younger age groups have different beliefs and ways of doing things than the older grandparents and older aunts and uncles. I like to listen to R&B, Rap , Hip-Hop , and Pop music. In my culture having kids without being married isn't much of a big deal. Mens work doesn't really vary from the womens work, what the men can do so can the women.
How Personality Is Formed " Looking Glass-Self Theory " My personality I don't think was formed off the way others looked at me but mainly how I carried myself. I was always nice, caring , loving and social , which are things I think rubbed off on me from my parents. I don't really care about what others think of me, I try my best to ignore others opinions.
FAMILY I have a very large family, so I'm used to being around people and being with lots of kids to older people. Being around a lot of younger kids has made my tolerance level decrease because they are always running around and it irritates me. My parents have been married for 15 years, so thats impacted me because thats how I want to be when I get older.
Peer Groups My friends are a big part of my life and every day routine. Sometimes their actions and the way they do things affect me and how I may act and respond to things. I am very social and a loving person so most of my friends and I understand each other because most of us are the same way.
SCHOOL School has a big impact on my life and every day routine because it has to do with my future and what I want to do with myself. My teachers and coaches help me and make me the best student and athlete I can be. With them being so determined I do my best it helps me to do the same for others.
MASS MEDIA Mass Media has a big affect on me and how I am as a person. I'm always taking and posting pictures which always give me more and more confidence. Social networks help me be more social and learn to communicate and talk to people better.
ADOLESCENT ISSUES There are many issues I go through. Decision making , relationships , & increased pressure all affect me as a person emotionally and physically. Relationships are one of the hardest things because a girl (me) is always afraid of getting her heart broken or being hurt. It affects me because when something like that happens it tears me apart emotionally, and I show it , which is something I hate. Decision making and increased pressure are a big thing that I go through , mainly with school because of track. Its someone always on my back about something and it puts so much tension on me when it comes to me having to be the person to make a decision at the end of the day , such as a college I want to go to , scholarships and everything. Searching for myself , I don't even know if I truly "found myself" yet. I'm still young and want to experience and try different things. I will still continue to do things to help me try to find the person i am though
ANTICIPATORY SOCIALIZATION Anticipatory Socialization doesn't really affect me or my personality because I'm not the type of person that will do or act a certain way just to fit in with others. I like being myself and different from others. I wouldn't change the way I act or do things just so other people will accept me because it doesn't matter who accepts me and who doesn't.
