FC: Cross of the Knight | By:John Panza
Dedications | My most thoughts go to my grandfather.
Once upon a time in a large castle in Western Europe a strong brave knight named Kevin Hopner sleeps in his warm felt covered bed. When he is waken up by his friend Jim Helenor. Saying to get up and eat his breakfast.
After eating a great breakfast he gets into his lower part of his armor consisting of long pants and a long sleeved shirt. He also put on his favorite weapon which is a sword in his sword belt.
When Kevin is getting changed he notices that he forgot to make his days list on what he is going to do for the day. So he went down stairs, took a piece of paper and wrote down a list on what he will do in the morning. Kevin said that he will first go jousting and then eat lunch if their is no problems. | !. go to jousting 2. eat lunch
Kevin is finally at the jousting tornement. He is so ready to joust and get a special earning of money. When he just gets in the line to joust, this man comes up to him and asks anyone who is elagable to fight to join him in a great battle hopefully ending in a result in victory.
Kevin at first does not want to join his so called "great army." He was just about ready to get in his first jousting tournement but Kevin's gut tells him that this battle could give him one step closer to winning the tournement, so he deciedes to join the powerful army. He then goes to the blacksmith of the town and tells him the orders that the head knight David told him to do.
After the siding of going to the army of nights he is told to were a red cross under his heavy armor for protection and for God to be on his side. As he put on this cross he thought to himself what would happen when they run into the ground troops at the enemies base. Kevin is then given special armor and weapons like a large piece of chain mail for the protection of arrows and a heavy blow to the neck. He is also given a hefty sword that makes his own one look like a piece of dirt. Not to mention he was given the suit of armor and leg armor known as the cuisse, poleyn, greave, and the sabaton.
Kevin is finally in his full body armor, he is then called by the general of the troops to get downstairs quickly. Unsure what to do Ben the horse keeper tells him what to do. He tells him to get up on the horse and follow the man in the completely red armor on.
Wile Kevin and the rest of the men are riding along the ridge of the castle deffence wall. Their plan was to make camp one mile out of the wall and in the morning they will advance up first with the longbow's and foot soldiers on the frontier. After that raid they will come in with the knights and infantry with foot soldiers again and hopefully pull around the castle and cut off the supply for the city and break in.
Kevin thought to himself in his white tent what could happen tomorrow like what if they don't take the castle or what if he gets hurt. He now goes to sleep with the cross still upon his chest.
It is finally here the battle of his life. When the knights are waiting for the foot soldier to give them the signal to charge all the adrenaline in his body is in his legs ready to go. The signal is given Kevin and his horse is out parilizing people left and right.
Right after he hauls his horse back he is struck in the hamstring with a longbow from about 60 feet away. As he falls off his horse in pain and agony. Luckily after the win a medic comes over and gives him antidote, takes out the arrow and applies pressure to the injured part in his leg.
He is then rushed to a field hospital near his home town where his wife and children come to watch him get out of the hospital in stable condition. When he comes out he has a big cast on his leg and the soldier who shot him was helping him back and into the arms of his wife.
 THE END
