1: STUDENTS CAN PAY FOR LUNCH AT A SCHOOL IN ONE OF TWO WAYS. STUDENTS CAN MAKE A PAYMENT FOR $30 A MONTH OR THEY CAN BUY LUNCH DAILY FOR $2.50 A LUNCH. HOW MUCH CHEAPER IS IT TO BUY THE MONTHLY PLAN IF YOU BUY LUNCH EVERY DAY?

2: To solve this problem we used the eqation y=mx+b. In the first equation m was 2.50, b was 0 and x was 22(the amount of school days in a month). In the next equation b was 30 and mx were both 0. The final equations were y=2.50(22)+0. The answer was y=55 so you use 55 dollars over a month using plan 1. The other one was y=30. So in a month you only spend 30 dollars if you buy lunch every day. So plan two is 25 dollars less then plan one. We double checked our work through a graph. | The red line is represents plan 2, which cost 30 dollars a month. The blue line is plan 1, which was 2.50 a day.
